DJBIGCLUB IN THE MIX, BUT ACES N 8’S JUST TOO GOOD

Players returned from their mid season winter break in the  APAT Premier League.  The 34 teams battling it out on Grosvenor Poker Online for another round of matches.  With over £1,100 up for grabs along with the all important team matchday points.  We’re getting to the crunch time as the teams still have their eyes on over £4,000 of live tournament seats in the Grand Final at the end of January 2018.

The teams were drawn into four conferences to play ‘matches’ against each other every week.  Here’s a reminder of the conference draw :-

UTFB DRAGONS LOSE 100% RECORD AND TOP SPOT IN THE CLUB CONFERENCE

UTFB Dragons may have won the top of the table clash before Christmas, but a 78-9 defeat at the hands of Team Roosterbooster sees them leapfrogged by FPG Team 2 in the Club Conference.  The impressive 128-20 result for FPG Team 2 was helped by victory for Mark ‘Aces_n_8s’ Morris who took down the tournament.  Team Gotham are making a late run with a 84-0 win over 3 Men And A lady which moves them into a wildcard spot.

YORKSHIRE’S WHITE ROSES AND HITSQUAD MAJORS CONSOLIDATE IN THE DIAMOND CONFERENCE

Victories for Yorkshire’s White Roses and Hitsquad Majors see them remain in the top two places in the Diamond Conference, but with three teams hot on their heels, they can’t avoid any slip ups in the remains two match days.

BIG POTATOES EYEING THE GRADN FINAL IN THE HEART CONFERENCE

Big Potatoes made it 5 out of 5 against an under strength Sh*t Detectives.  Quad Jokers and Team Spawn keep up the chase, but an impressive 118-0 win for FPG Team 1 versus BLACK COUNTRY POKER CLUB sees them move into one of the wildcard spots.

SHAKIRA SHAKIRA MAKE THE GRAND FINAL FROM THE SPADE CONFERENCE

The first team to be confirmed in the Grand Final are The Chips Don’t Lie, Shakira Shakira.  Their 100% record continued with a closely fought 101-78 victory over ColdstreamPKR in the Spade Conference.  This group is turning out to be the closest one of all, with every team still in with a chance of making the remaining place in the Grand Final.

The second place finish from England skipper Simon ‘DJBigClub’ Brooke saw Team Gotham move into of the two ‘Wildcard’ spots along with high scoring FPG Team 1 who are still being outscored in the league by their second string side, FPG Team 2.  The two ‘Wildcard’ places in the Grand Final reward the two teams with the highest points scored who don’t qualify automatically from one the four conferences, but their are plenty of teams that could make those spots with three matchdays to go.
