1 - WHO ARE YOU?
Reece Poole

2 - POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF OR A LINK TO ONE (APAT OR OTHER)

3 - WHERE DO YOU COME FROM?
Colchester, Essex

4 - TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?
Just finished University with a degree in law, considering my options career wise and playing some cards while I"m at it.

5 - WHAT IS YOUR POKER BACKGROUND?
I started playing at the age of 18 in friends" home games, this lead to a very fishy Riley"s Ace of Clubs league which I became a regular member of. Qualified at the age of 19 in 2010 for the national final at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham, which gave me my first experience of the travelling poker lifestyle, it was on this experience, that I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I didn"t win, and in retrospect I was such a terrible player, but 100th/300 was an encouraging result.

Sick of being a fish/being fished on, I studied hard and upped my game and towards the end of 2011, I made my first appearance at a non-freeroll casino based MTT, at the Genting Club in Southend. My study of the game paid off as on my second appearance, I shipped £500 odd pounds, which was a small fortune at the time. The Genting Southend has now become my favourite venue, where I try to get up there a couple of times a month. And it continues to pay nicely!

Targets for the future are to continue winning my local Southend game, turn around my poor record online, reach an APAT Final Table, and eventually win enough money to go on a Vegas holiday.

6 - WHAT IS YOUR PLAYING STYLE?
General T-AG in tournaments where it matters! Against players I assume are weak I will go L-AG and just punish them though.

7 - WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE POKER PLAYER AND WHY?
I have no particular favourites but do like to follow all the big British names as they play at home and abroad, so Sam Trickett, Liv Boeree, Vicky Coren, etc.

Have a soft spot for Nick Wealthall the Channel 4 UKIPT commentator as his sketches and general chat is hilarious!

8 - WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ONLINE POKER SITE AND WHAT IS YOUR POKER ID THERE?
My main site is Stars where I can be identified by the Colchester United badge as my avatar. But I will be looking to expand my horizons online soon, playing more on the APAT client, as well as Sky Poker.

9 - WHAT ARE YOUR POKER ACHIEVEMENTS?
2 x Qualified for Riley"s National Finals, most recently where I finished 20th/100 where 10 got paid. Close but no cigar!
Approx. £3500 profit from live MTTs in the Southend/Essex area from Nov 11.
Including £1200 in one week, a cash of £800 for winning the Genting Saturday £30 f/o, and £400 in the same event a week later.

Other than that my main poker achievement is a retweet off Sam Trickett after he got 2nd in "The Big One"!  8)

10 - WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE ABOUT LIVE POKER CURRENTLY, THAT YOU WOULD CHANGE?
I know that you"re not supposed to berate the fish, and on the table I generally don"t. But you"re waiting for a tournament to start just minding your own business, and you overhear these absolute idiots talking like they"re Phil Hellmuth. It would be OK if they didn"t have the most obvious and basic leaks in their play.

A standard example is people saying "I had value" when calling off their stacks on rediculous hands in situations where if you ask them exactly what value they had, they can"t calculate it! And when they finally do, they certainly didn"t have value in the first place. Just shut up. Idiots.

11 - HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT APAT?
In PokerPlayer magazine, they ran a small feature on good tournaments to play, and the 2012 ECOAP in Brighton Marina was advertised.

12 -WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT APAT TOURNAMENTS, STANDARD OF PLAY AND STRUCTURE?
Tournaments: very well organised, and professional structure.
Standard of pay: very high.
The most endearing part of the APAT tour is how friendly everyone there was. An absolute pleasure to play.

13 - HAVE YOU PLAYED AT AN APAT LIVE EVENT AND IF SO, WHAT WAS MOST MEMORABLE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE?
Only 2:
2012 ECOAP, Brighton. Finished circa 40th/120 just before the end of Day 1.
2012 English COAP, Coventry, Finished circa 60th/180 just before the end of Day 1. QQ v AA, flop came QTxJK! Grrrrr

I must echo the above about how friendly and professionally run the tour is. Gives players a taste of the big time tours for a very reasonable price.

14 - WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF POKER?
Outside of poker its the usual, football and sport, music, film, gaming, etc.

15 - WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK OR FILM?
I generally like the auto/biographies and I really liked Coren"s and the Devilfish"s books.
Have a soft spot for To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee though.

16 - WHAT THREE MUSIC ALBUMS WOULD YOU TAKE TO A DESERT ISLAND WITH YOU?
Blur - Parklife
RHCP - Californication
Nirvana - Nevermind

17 - FINALLY, WHAT MESSAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEAVE FOR YOUR FELLOW APAT MEMBERS?
I"m going to try and become a more frequent poster in the APAT community now so all I really have to add is long live APAT! Cheers guys RP.  Ac A s
