From the first post (sorry, can"t quote it directly):

"The top 3 teams will be invited to enter a team in the APAT UK Team Championships held in Season 8"

and the second:

"In addition, the top two teams will be invited to enter a team in the APAT UK Team Championship to be held in 2015."

Thanks Matt. Have corrected.

It was initially 3 teams, but we"ve guaranteed entry to the winning team in this Sunday"s UK Teamp Champs too, so felt that awarding 4 overall was too many.

Also:

"A player scores points for their team as above, however only a maximum of three players per region can score team points in any one match for calculating team matchday points.  Should four or more players from one team reach points scoring positions, the lowest of those points scorers will receive 0 team points and their team points will be allocated to the next best finisher."

Will the fourth team finisher still score individual points, as happened in previous leagues? eg Fourth player finishes 18th, then he still gets 3 points toward the individual prize but 19th place scores the team points for the night?

Other than those, looks pretty good.

It may be that a 12 minute clock would be preferable, but obv depends on number of runners/finishing time. Only time will tell.

Thanks APAT

Yes, everyone finishing in the points (i.e. top 18) will score individual points.

Is this correct....

Individual:
The best performing individual player will be awarded 2 x £82.50 APAT National Event seats.
The runner up individual player will be awarded 2 x £82.50 APAT National Event seats.

Same prizes for FIRST and SECOND....

Team:
The three best performing members of the winning team will be awarded 2 x £82.50 APAT National Event seats.

This seems a bit odd, I assume its because there may be teams of less than 6 players?

Will it be an option for the winning team to transfer seats to other members?

I think this is the same as the last NOL too? But yes, some teams may only have 3 players. I"m happy for you to gift one of your seats to another player if you like.

Make that 141 runners. Even more impressive. Thanks all for playing :)

Quick note about blind levels:
Following feedback from the UK Team Champs where a few said it was a bit too quick a game, I increased the blind levels in this series of games from 10mins to 12mins.

However, I"m wondering now if that"s going to make the game last too long?... I think 7pm > midnight is probably about the right length of time for this type of game.. Tonight"s looks like it might go on to 1.32am or thereabouts...

Aye, was ideally trying to avoid messing with iPoker"s default blind structure (other than timings), but agree those two levels are somewhat superfluous.

Yeah, no idea why that wasn"t implemented tonight - surely it should be default?.. Will ask Coral tomorrow.

I"ve noticed DTD have a problem with h4h on bubbles in their tourneys, so hopefully it can be implemented for skin-specific tourneys!...

Do you have the ability to request a certain structure with certain blind levels? If so, you could try something like this:

20/40, 10m
30/60, 10m
40/80, 10m
60/120, 10m
80/160, 10m
100/200, 10m
125/250-25, 10m
150/300-50, 10m
200/400-50, 10m
300/600-75, 10m
400/800-75, 12m
500/1000-100, 12m
600/1200-120, 12m
800/1600-160, 12m
1000/2000-200, 12m
1500/3000-300, 12m
2000/4000-400, 12m
2500/5000-500, 15m
3000/6000-600, 15m
4000/8000-800, 15m
5000/10000-1000, 15m
6000/12000-1200, 15m
8000/16000-1600, 15m
10000/20000-2000, 15m
12500/25000-2500, 15m
15000/30000-3000, 15m
17500/35000-3500, 15m
20000/40000-4000, 15m

(if we get to this point then we should be playing for decent money and nobody minds playing a bit late if its a deep run)

Is this also the thread for tonight"s game? Can"t see any other.

15 teams will score points. 12 players left - 11 different teams. And only one of the 10 individuals has any team points already banked to fall back on. Team points will largely go with top finishing positions.

There"s at least 2 players in the Player Pool still looking for teams, so if you need a player get in touch with them ASAP.  Qd

Results have now been updated: http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=15205

It was a very close game this week, with only 3 points separating the best placed team and 5th place.

A great showing from 3 of The Hitsquad Teams shows them take the top 3 team spots this week. THS Scotsquad member Willy Higgins, aka 3barrelTHS, takes top individual honours and secures top spot for his team with 25 points.

THS Squadettes" Pati Gallacher (in 4th) and Lisa Reynolds (in 15th) make 24 points between them to secure 2nd spot, with 2 players from THS Scotsquad Donks also finishing in the points (William Kerr and Callum Taylor) meaning they are 3rd this week. Next up is last season"s National Online Cup champions "The Chips Don"t Lie - Shakira Shakira", with Lewis Laker taking 2nd individual spot and giving them 4th spot by virtue of higher individual scorer.

Finally, in 5th team spot we have Team Lucky Squad, who impressively steered 3 members to the points (Andy Cowl in 16th; John Lynn in 11th; and Paul Williams in 9th).

This Sunday (23rd March) is the Festival of Pub Poker, so the National Online League will return a week after that (Sunday 30th). In order to make it not such late night for you all next time, we"ll be reducing the blinds from 12 minutes per level to 10mins.

Until next time! :)

There is no game this weekend due to the Festival of Pub Poker (FoPP), so the National Online League will return next Sunday (30th March).

In the meantime, if any of the teams that don"t have a full team of 6 want to quickly sign up some last minute players to fill the gaps, now would be a good time :)

A quick welcome to our new, funky, dedicated National Online League section :)

Just 2 days until the league resumes on 30th March. One change to draw your attention to, is that blind levels have been reduced from 12mins a level to 10mins. With the last two games finishing after 1am, this should knock 60+ minutes off the end time, and therefore be a little more sociable for those of you that have to work the next day! :)
Title: Re: National Online League - general discussion.
Post by: Matt D on March 30, 2014, 16:08:34 PM
Quick reminder, make sure your clocks are set correctly! :) The National Online League continues tonight from 7pm. The late reg tonight is 50 minutes, due to the change in blind levels from 12 mins to 10 mins and iPoker keeping the late reg. as 5 levels (it will be 1 hour late reg. from next week).

Why not combine with the final WCOAP satellite at 8pm? http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=15110
Title: Re: National Online League - general discussion.
Post by: Matt D on March 30, 2014, 16:22:52 PM
Important: Due to the change in blind levels from 12 mins to 10 mins, and the way iPoker works with late reg., late reg. tonight is 50 mins, not 1 hour! It will be back to a full hour from next week.

Results for last night are now live: http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=15205.0

In an amazing turn of events, and following a ding-dong heads up battle, last week"s winner - 3BarrelTHS aka Willy Higgins - only went and did it again! 2 wins on the trot for him, besting fields of 129 and 127 respectively. That secures THS Scotsquad top spot for the second week running, and launches them into a 5 point lead over their nearest rivals, week 1 winners, BCPC.

Blood, Sweat, Beers & a teetotaller score 4 team points this week thanks to Steve Roderick and Ger Smyth both finishing in the points. Yorkshire Lamb are next with 3 team points, with 2nd placed AcesSteve111 aka Steve Brooke, helping them put one over on their local rivals Yorkshire Beef as the first Yorkshire team to post a result. Team S.W.A.T are 4th with 2 points, with Suzy Haywards great individual effort putting them ahead of Team Blue Blood who take 5th place.

Overall, Willy Higgins is way out ahead in the individual leaderboard. But with only 3 of 10 games gone, there"s plenty of time to catch him!. Steve Redfern is 2nd thanks to consistent results in weeks 1 and 2. Special mention goes to 12th placed Adam Phelan who is the only player from 150+ who has finished in the points, and money, all 3 weeks.

Until next week, stay lucky! :)

Results are up from last night"s National Online League game: http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=15205.0

Another great showing from THS Scotsquad increases their lead at the top of the table from 5 points to 7 points. It"s still early days though, with plenty of time to catch them.

This week was all about Team Blue Blood, with 4 (count "em!) players in the final 18! (Carl Pilgrim 6th, Syliva Hewitt 7th, Marc Daley 9th, Gordon McArthur 14th). This comfortably secured top spot with 36 combined points. Next up, a fine solo showing from Frazer Bolt (1st with 25 points) and backup from Stuart Greenan (16th, 6 points) secured Team S.W.A.T 2nd place for the week, and rockets them to 2nd in the overall leaderboard.

Chris Hiam"s 2nd place, helps Yorkshire Lamb increase their overall points tally to 5 and means they climb from 6th to 4th.

Finally, Lucy Amos"s 5th place this week, with support from Tom Clarke in 13th, gives Off The ScrapHeap their fist team points, putting them 13th on the overall leaderboard.

Interesting, 13 teams have scored points so far whilst 13 teams have not. Spooky ey?

Until next time! :)

Quick reminder to all, that there is no National Online League this weekend due to the WCOAP in London. The NOL will return on Sunday 27th April.

And we"re back! Following the excitement of the WCOAP in London, the National Online League returns tonight @ 7pm sharp (with 1 hour late reg.)

Can anyone catch THS Scotsquad in pole position? There"s 3 teams snapping on their heels (Team S.W.A.T; Blood, Sweat, Beers & a teetotaler; Team Lukcy Squad), and a number of teams directly behind them.

With 5 games left in the series, there"s plenty of time to catch them!.

The hassle I am having with not being able to register the same card to more than one i-poker site is wrecking my head. In this day and age it is unbelievable that I have to keep swapping the site that I use certain cards on.. Could not be arsed moving them around yet again tonight so for one of the actual times I am home to play the site has pissed me off..  >:(

Don"t forget that we pay out 100% of the money collected each week, so even if you"ve got no chance of winning the individual or team leaderboard, it"s worth still playing if you fancy a fun, well structured, game! :)

Game 10/10 is tonight. Will Team Lucky Squad hang on and take top honours?... Or will one of the closing pack - THS Scotsquad, Team Blue Blood, Team S.W.A.T, rally their troops and pip them at the post?...

Individually, Willy Higgins still rules the roost, having maintained "top dog" position since week 3!. Steve Roderick and Andy Cowl are very close behind, with Carl Pilgrim, Paul Harrison, David Harvey, Isabelle Boyle, and Kev Dawson within a few points of them.

Tonight"s game, as always, is listed under Coral Exclusive > APAT in the APAT software. The password is: apatmemb

It was initially 3 teams, but we"ve guaranteed entry to the winning team in this Sunday"s UK Teamp Champs too, so felt that awarding 4 overall was too many.
