Finally luckboxed my way to a final table last night, good way to finish the captaincy.

Well done to pokerpops as well for getting into the points x

I've received 2 PM's showing interest in the captaincy.

Will allow another week for interest before announcing who the lucky fella or lady is x

WP last night - see you can multi-task with work after all Smiley

Shouldn't the captaincy be up for vote by team members?

Dear Mr Tompkinson

I would like to apply for the position of Captain of Stockton Poker Club. I have previous experience in a similar role, so I believe this would be an excellent fit for both sides. I have recently completed a similar project, so am free to take up the position as soon as required.

I have already been to Teesside on one occasion - to play a Gala tournament, when I was very unlucky to be eliminated holding AA just 3 places off the money. With the games being held on the Interweb, with luck I would be able to carry out the role without having to visit the area again very often.

Please let me know the outcome as soon as you can, as there are a number of other similar roles on the market and I need to know where I stand.

Regards

John Murray

PS - I thought you were very good in Ballykissangel.

I don't mind how a new captain is produced, as long as it is for the good of the club. I am sure Phil will make a great choice. If the members wish to create an election, this is fine as well.

Thanks for those that PM'd me regarding the captaincy and of course to John for his application who got extra merit for  mentioning my cousin in his ps Smiley

I'm pleased to announce that the Stockton Cock himself Stuart Ward will be the new Stockton captain from today.

Good luck to Stu and the whole of the Stockton team going forward x

Cheers Phil, firstly for the job that you did for us all, its going to be alot to live up to, and secondly for giving me the chance to step up Smiley

I am really looking forward to playing the next season, and i know that with the players at our disposal and the talentwe have here, we can win a few points and really stick it up some of the bigger teams in the league. Hopefully Phil will still be around to play every week for us, i shall certainly be badgering him to do so!

Any questions then fire away Smiley

See you at the tables troops!
