Back to it.
Wandering down Mac Curtain Street, we cross the lights to Coburg Street, home to:
The Corner HouseNice place. Wood floors and walls (as I recall) and the only place I found Irish Music being played.
Not a huge amount of seating but extensive nevertheless.
and,
Sin éI had high hopes for this place but it proved to be a pokey little hole, cramped and with very little seating. that said, an eclectic music selection was being played but the whole vibe for me was that it was trying to hard to be 'artsy'.
YMMV.
Breakfast. If you fancy a decent bite, I would recommend Rosinda's on MacCurtain Street. Dead close and very reasonable pricing but there were a number of other places close by.
Other food.As I recall there was a mini-supermarket opposite the Isaacs if you fancied snacks. An uninspired, but adequate, Chinese (
Crystal Inn) on the same street and, if memory serves, an Indian restaurant (
Spice Route) which I did not visit.
A late night Chicken & Chips emporium was also to be found on the same street along with, perhaps, a kebab shop...at least according to Google Street View...my memory is...ahem...hazy.
