UK Team Championship - APAT Forum Team
« on: November 23, 2013, 11:42:37 AM »
I"m aware the deadline for applications has not yet closed, but it should be no surprise that APAT WILL be represented at the forthcoming UK Team Championship by 2 teams - the APAT Champions (holders of an APAT Gold Medal or APAT Bracelet) and APAT Forum (contributors to the APAT Forum).

The calling notice for the event can be found HERE.

To put your name forward to be selected for the APAT Forum team then either post on this thread or PM me HERE.

APAT are pleased to announce the Captain for the "APAT Forum" Team will be Jack "technolog" Prime, who will now look to select and confirm his team.

Could all members who "volunteered" (either via the forum or by direct email or PM to myself) for the APAT Forum Team PLEASE contact Jack direct HERE to confirm you are, or are not, still "available" - ASAP - I have passed your details onto him.

Anyone who would still like to volunteer for the team then please either post on this thread or contact Jack ASAP - I"m sure he will be selecting his team pretty quickly!

APAT are helping Team Captains organise "team polo shirts" embroidered for £15 each and we have some pre-booked single rooms in the Quality Hotel, 100 yrds from the venue, for Fri/Sat night - please discuss with your Team Captain.

An example of the type of shirt/embroidery can be seen on the photo below (taken from the recent team shirts supplied for the ECOAP):

From ECOAP Team Day 1

We recommend for each shirt on the LHB the event name:

APAT (word logo)
2014 UK Team
Championship

and on the RHB your team name and player nickname:

APAT Forum

Many congratulations Jack. Great choice by APAT. The man knows what this team means to a lot of people and will be up for what might be the toughest job in APAT.

Good luck mate see you across the felt in Stoke (but at the bar first obv)

Many thanks to APAT for giving me the honour of captaining the forum team in what will likely be my final APAT appearance. For those that don"t know, I"m planning on emigrating to Cleveland, Ohio during the summer with Laxie (not forgetting Archie & Fib :) ). After that I think travel costs might be a bit on the steep side for regular attendance :).

So for my APAT swansong I"m hoping to favour the longer standing APAT members but please, get in touch if you would like to be considered to play, however long you"ve been an APAT member. I"ll be hoping to select the team as soon as possible, certainly by next weekend at the latest to give people as much time as possible to arrange time off (if necessary) and to get hotels booked.

Flood my inbox please.
