I have the week off and I am off to see the Massive on Wednesday, so I thought, what about tomorrow.

I has points galore in Holiday Inn so I checks and get a free room for tomorrow night in Nottingham. So I will play the £40 at DTD in the evening have a few beers relax in the hotel then head for Stockton the following day.

I am loving this 'relaxing' week off.......

Lasted 7 levels in the DTD £50 (price hike) then sat down in the .50 £1 cash and left it 3 hours later £250 richer. Courtesy of a flopped straight, a rivered straight and a delightful runner runner flush when I was 'at it'. Happy days.

Sitting in a pub in Middlesbourough at the moment watching the world go by.

Priceless.........

We go through the short time we have within this mortal coil with memories and friendships. This week I travelled up to Stockton and the company of the ‘Massive’. I have met these people through APAT and no finer hosts could you hope for. The couple of days I spent there will live in the memory for a long time. A big thank you to Stu and Matt for looking after me and a largesse thank you to Phil for putting me up (the early morning port was a killer though)

Pool, Darts and poker nights were the norm for the trip and all were funny in the extreme. Especially last night in the G with a private tournament with Rocks, Corpses and Fossils (I was sure my  73hh was good against Stu’s range)

Great people, great time, priceless…….

My sister says today that she wants a Satnav, why don’t you use your phone says I. the blank look I got just reinforced the fact of Noreen embracing technology is about as likely as Rich Baker winning a pot while miles ahead, yep, not gonna happen.

Looked up a cheap one on the interweb and Halfords had a suitable one and as I was going down the town I said I would pick it up for her. When I entered the door of the shop I was surrounded by a bunch of enthusiastic children who were trying hard to give the impression that they were knowledgeable.

Ger: ‘I know what I want and it is in stock, I checked’
Pimples: ‘Erm OK what is it you want’ I told him

We wandered over to the cabinet…..

Pimples: ‘Do you want to hold it’
Ger: ‘I want to buy it please”
Pimples: ‘Do you need a carry case’  Stage one of my patience threshold passed
Ger: ‘No’
Pimples: ‘Do you need a USB cable’ Stage Two of my patience threshold passed
Ger: ‘No’
Pimples: ‘Do you……..’ Final stage of my patience threshold passed

He never finished the sentence and was treated to an old fashioned dialogue that left him in no doubt that if he didn’t get me what I wanted he would find himself upside down in the oil filter aisle.

Bless, he tried…..
