Have a few trips kinda planned for the rest of the year.

This Thursday I am off to Maghull to take part in a poker challenge with some members of the NW APAT league team. Should be classic. Gutted to be missing the APAT at the end of the month, but I am off to a wedding of a very good friend. I have the end of May and beginning of June off from work and am mulling another visit to the realms of Yarm.

July sees the exodus to Cork (I missed last years) and I am looking forward to that.

August is of course DTD

October is my birthday month and sees a return trip to Glasgow (Hope I don’t get asked to leave this time)

November sees the Portugal trip which is nicely hotting up.

And Xmas is looking like a cheeky Vegas visit………..

Life is good…..

My mobile phone contract is nearly up so I am on the lookout for a suitable replacement. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Dell Streak, but they are no longer upgrading the operating system on it so I am looking elsewhere. Therefore my first port of call is my current provider.

After mooching the internet I eventually rang them, gave my details and the suspension of disbelief kicked it.

“You’re not due for an upgrade until the 7th of May”
“I know but I am just exploring the options open to me” says I
“I can’t give you options until you are due for an upgrade”
“Pretend I am” says I
“You can ring back on Monday”
“You open on Bank holiday’s?” says I
“No sir”
“Then it’s no good ringing Monday then is it” says I
“Oh I see Sir, maybe Tuesday then”
“I want to know my options now” says I
“I am not at liberty to disclose that information until you are due for an upgrade”
“I am due for an upgrade on Monday” says I
“Sorry Sir, can I help you with anything else”
“AH OK, can you print out my contract details on your screen” says I
“Of course”
“Is the printer near you” says I
“Yes”
“OK please print out my contract details, collect them from the printer, roll them in a long tube and stick my contract up you ar$e, have a nice day”

I will be switching provider I think………

lol, another Duke Nuked'em classic!   Cheesy

iPhone hasn't let me down I have to say.  Sian has a posh one with Siri on, but she's never even set it up in the four or five months she's had it.  Prefers to shout at me 'tea, mug, now".  Seems to work.  Not sure I like being called mug mind...

Looked around and I have a question.....

Do I go for immediate delivery of the HTC one X or wait for the delivery date of the Galaxy S III (Launch is tomorrow)

or are there any other (clean) suggestions for a new mobile phone.

Those are the only really worth thinking about IMO. I'm waiting until the details of the S3 are announced tomorrow and then making my mind up.

3 weeks on my current contract and then I'll go for it.

At the moment it's the One X but that may change...

Recession my backside a painting was sold yesterday for $120,000,000 this one by Edvard Munch

Others big sales in recent history are

The Card Players by Cezanne for $250,000,000

No 5, by Jackson Pollock for $140,000,000

Women III by Willem de Kooning for $137,500,000

Portrait of Adele by Gustav Klimt $135,000,000

Were they worth it, I struggle to think so…….
