OK, it’s day 4 off the dreaded cigarettes, do I miss them – hell yes. The atomiser is helping, but to be fair it is not the same thing. Not going to beat myself up if I succumb but I haven’t yet. Calculations are that not smoking will save me circa £200 a month. Funnily enough that statistic is driving me more than the health implications.

The house is obviously liking this abstinence as well. Chezger was always no smoking at the tables and the kitchen was the only room that could be smoked in. This will not change for the September Fest.

Hopefully I will still be off them by then…….

I didn't realise that it was the first day with that contraption when we nipped round on Friday! I still don't understand why you refuse to use it indoors - thought that was the reason people invented them Smiley

Wee Man was awesome in the gig, especially as he was saying that he couldn't sing, bloody liar! Let us know when the next one is please, and we'll be there with bells on.

Saves embarrasing explanations to some neanderthal bouncer that it is an atomiser  Grin

It’s not getting any easier, I have problems sleeping and I wake up with a headache. No, I am not drinking to forget the cigarettes; I have not been drinking much at all over the last few days. I have not had a cigarette for nigh on 6 days and to be fair I am not a happy bunny. It is not showing at work, I hide it well.

One half of my brain is dancing a party and taunting me, the other half is trying to be sensible but to be fair is getting battered. Perseverance is the key….

Day 6 and still off em…………………..

top effort Ger, good luck with it. I'm quite sure your mental fortitude will be victorious.

Check out Vicky Coren's blog, she's off the weed too.
Alan Carr inspired apparently. Not the speccy son of the ex-footballer, the other one, that wrote a book about how easy it is to stop smoking

I'd give up, but I'm no quitter.

Did you know Carr took up smoking again and died of lung cancer in 2006? Sort of funny...... but not!
