A huge chip movement from Ryan Kilbey to Mac Hedley when on a Flop of 10s Kh 6h Mac in the SB pushes on a flush draw holding Qh 9h to be called by Ryan holding A s Ac...  Turn 5h seals it for Mac and after a count he had 582k.... but Ryan survives.

Next hand Ryan ships for 280k with Ah 3h and is called by Andy with Ad 9h... Flop 5d Jh 4h gives much hope but with Turn 8d and River Jc we lose Ryan in 4th position, on the National Championship Medal Bubble, but earning a payday of £1050.

Many thanks to our commentators today, Leigh Wiltshire (too shy for a pic) and the dynamic duo of father and daughter David "Pokerpops" Amos and Lucy "Alcopops" Amos...

Heads Up:

Seat 3 - Mac Hedley

From APAT UK Championship (Newcastle) 29 Nov 15

Seat 4 - Andy Dodson

From APAT UK Championship (Newcastle) 29 Nov 15

Similar chip stacks:

Mac raises to 60k pre and Andy calls... Kd 7d Ah and Andy bets 30k and takes the pot

Next hand on a Board Qc 3c 8h Andy checks, Mac makes it 60k and Andy calls...

Turn 7c and Andy checks and Mac announces All In and immediatley Andy says "call"...

Mac tables Qc 3c for Top Pair only to see Andy"s 7s 8s for two pair and a River 4d doesn"t help Mac...

After a count Andy has 1m 32k and Mac has 1m 31k.... 1k behind...

Surprisingly! next hand Mac is all in for 1k.... and has a nice hand with Kd Qh.... Andy holds 2d 10h

Board 6c 10s 2c 3d 8s

and we have our National Championship Silver Medal winner.... Malcolm Hedley also winning £2000

and our

UK Amateur Poker Champion
Andy Dodson
Gold Medalist
£3050 + World Championship Of Amateur Poker Main Event Seat

So we say farewell to Newcastle... HUGE thanks to Leigh Wiltshire for the Live Stream and to his assistant Des.

Many thanks to Lucy Amos for Blogging/Updating and also for her first time on the Live Stream commentating where she did a sterling job and I expect to see her do more of that in future.... and to David "Pokerpops" Amos for his guest appearance commentating.

Next weekend (Sun) at 18:00 we have the UK Online Amateur Poker Championship (£22) followed at 19:00 with the PLO side event (£11)... then we are in Luton for the UK Team Championship 30th/31st Jan... I expect we"ll have some "special one-off" Online Events over the festive season tied in with LPPL... if you have any preference on date/time/event post here and we"ll take everything into consideration and advise asap.

Thanks to the venue here at Aspers, Newcastle, and again, finally, well done to our UK Amateur Poker Champion, Andy Dodson
