#17 Day 2 Main Event

Joel Holmberg

Blinds 50k/100k ante 10k

Andy makes it 250k from the small blind.

Joel moves all in and Andy gets the count - 1,150,000

Andy makes the call and shows Ah 6s

Joel is behind and at risk with Kh Jh

7s 2h 7c flop...Joel still needs a king or a jack...

9s turn...no help to Joel

8d and Joel does not improve and exits the tournament.

We go three handed and the remaining three are in the medals.

Joel receives his round of applause and hand shakes as he leaves the table.



Joel Holmberg finishes in 4th for £2,750.

Andy makes the call and has 4d 4s

Marco is at risk and behind with Ad 3s

6c gives him extra outs as a 4 will give him the straight...

Jc and it is over for Marco.

3rd place finisher, Marco Vasconcelos, wins £3710 and a Bronze Medal. Well played to him.

Again with a Board to the Turn 10s 3c 2h 4d Andy bets 175k and Kav calls and we see a 9s River, Andy checks, Kav bets 300k and Andy folds

Andy bets 250k and Kav calls... we see a Flop 2c 3h 4d and it"s checked to a Turn Kh which is checked to a River Ah - Kav check folds to Andy"s 250k bet

On  Board 8h 7d Jh 6c 5c Andy bets 400k and Kav calls - Andy says "good call" and Kav turns over Kc 5d and takes the pot...


Andy now down to 4.6m

No raise pre and a 8s 8d 7h flop Andy bets 125k

Kaveh makes the call.

10d turn and they both check.

4h river and Kaveh checks.

Andy bets 400k and Kavah says "Why do I think you"re bluffing?"

He eventually makes the call...and mucks when Andy turns over 7d 8h for the flopped house!!

Kaveh says "I had a good read then..."

Lovely atmosphere here heads up, especially considering the over £2000 difference in prizes.

Nothing much to report here, min bets all round and no real chip movement of late. Stacks are incredibly even and no-one seems prepared to risk changing that for the worse...
