Karen Mead makes it 325 pre flop and gets called by Wai Guo, James Edwards, David Pilkington in the small blind and Anthony Jones in the big blind.

Flop comes down Qc Qd Ac

It is checked in the blinds to Karen, who bets 525 and is called by Wai and James, David and Anthony both fold.

10s sees Karen slow down and she checks.
Wai has no such intentions and bets 2k.
James calls and Karen thinks for a while and then folds.

River card is the 9d and Wai leads out for 2k again.

James goes into the tank and Wai is on the verge of calling a clock when James makes the call saying "I think he has a queen"
Wai shows Qs 7h and takes the lot as James mucks.

Karen Mead is down to fewer chips than she"d like, around about 1k, following what sounded like a brutal run in between AQ and Aces...she did not come out of it favourably...

She did, whilst I was stood watching, collect a checked down pot with her Qd 3c and she is now at around 1800.

She is guaranteed to outlast Philip Buttle and Simon Lawlor...as they exit quietly in the background somewhere...

Simon Lawlor - exit hand:

He moved all in with Jh Js

He is called by Wai Gou holding A s Qs

Flop comes very favourably - Ac Jd 6c

Turn is an ever better 6d and David Pilkington, on the table with them, says "Oh, Simon, you"ve won it now..."

Ad on the river to demonstrate why David was wrong...Simon is out.

Craig Dawson gets a much needed double up from Jo Howard.

I join with the flop of 6c 10d 6s

Jo bets out for not much less than Craig"s remaining 2100 and Craig says "all of it" and Jo calls.

Js Jh for Craig

"Nice hand, I thought you had Ace queen or similar" from Jo as she tables 3s 3h

No drama with the 5h 8c on the turn and river and Craig takes the pot.

Karen Mead has found a triple up with Ace Queen and is currently on around 3.5k.

Over on the crazy Table 5, there is an early position raise from Dan Owston to 500.

Dianne Chevrier makes the call.

Di Llwellyn re raises it to 2300.

Ger, short stacked and in the big blind, moves all in.

Dan and Dianne get out of the way and Di makes up the extra to make the call.

Di has 10d 10c
Ger has 3c 3h

"3 in the window!!" calls Jo Howard...

Ks Ad 3d on the flop!!

Jc on the turn for a bit more of a sweat...

But the 2c river means Ger gets the double and is now on around 11k.

JP Round raises pre flop and is called by Keith Thomas.

They see the 10s 5s Qd on the flop and Keith check calls JP"s continuation bet of 1200.

They both check the 5d on the turn and the 6c river brings no action either.

JP shows Ad Kh and Keith takes the pot with his 10c 9s

Much exclamation on Table 4!

Glenn Laming and Michael Jeffers are the victims of Frederick Edwards" royal flush as his Qc matches with the Ac Kc Jc 10c on the board and he scoops "A GRAND!!" from Glenn and a much more sizeable amount from Michael.

Ger Smyth moves "all in", on the flop, against Di Llwellyn and Dan Owston.

The board was 4h Qc Js

Ger did not show...

The remaining 52 players are now on a fifteen minute break and will resume play at 21:25 at Level 5, Blinds 100/200 ante 25.

Exits since the break:

Rhys Langley
Karl Powell
Di Llwellyn
Steve Gray

Dylan Jones gets a double up, courtesy of Tony Griffiths.

Dylan moves all in pre flop, following Tony"s raise, and Tony makes the call.

The cards go on their backs and Dylan has Ah Qh
Tony has 10c Jc

The board runs out Qs 5s 3d 10d 4d and Dylan is on around 13.5k

Joining the hand with 4d 9h 3d flop and Glenn Laming has bet out 1k

Richard Rudling-Smith makes it 3.5k and Stephen Harrison, following some thinking and calculations, makes the call. Glenn folds out of the way.

Qs on the turn and Stephen checks. Rudders bets 10k - effectively putting Stephen all in.

Stephen folds and Rudders gathers in the circa 10k pot.

Ger Smyth, Dianne Cevrier and Naaman Morris have all seen a flop of 10c Qh and Ks

With the pot at around 6k, Naaman checks.
Ger bets around 2k.

Dianne asks short stacked Naaman how much he has left and then raises to 9k.

Naaman moves all in and is quickly called in both spots by Ger and Dianne.

All the cards go on their backs

Ger has Kd 10d
Dianne has Jd 8d
Naaman has Qs Qc

9s on the turn sees Dianne take the lead...

But the Jh on the river means all fast pulse rates slow as it is a 3 way chop pot!!

"Lead the flop, smash it on the turn, chop it on the river..." says Dianne...
