I have checked all the players. There were some one-pointers missed, mainly in the Colossus, which have been entered now.

These are the points with just the Main Event and the Little Drop to add.

Barrie has first place sewn up, but second and third places are still very much undecided.

Day 4 of the Main has finished and we can get a clear view of which members of our teams are still going and the likely effects on the points.

We still have these players in the Main:
Martin Finger
Charlie Carrel
Tom Middleton
Max Silver
Ian Johns
Max Pescatori
Dominik Nitsche

Adam and Jo, in second and third places, don't have any of those, but both Debbie and Simon B, in 3rd and 4th, have Max Silver. Simon has too many points to make up, but Debbie was just nine points behind Jo and sixteen behind Adam at the start of this event, so could overtake them if Silver gets to the final table, needing him to take fifth to get past Jo and second to overhaul Adam.

However, news from the Little Drop has changed this, as some of these selectors' minor players (Mercier, Volpe, Wasserman and Leah) have cashed for single points.

Adam and Jo each have three of those players, but Debbie only has Mercier, so has drifted two points on each. She now needs Silver to finish fourth to win for her to overtake Jo, while a second place for him would just take her into a tie with Adam.

The other players above are distributed between several of us (Carl, Paul H and Paxo each have two of them), but everyone else is too far behind to catch up.

This could go to the wire.

Who else is still in the Main?

There are still nine previous November Niners in the field:

Antoine Saout
Tom Cannuli
Ben Lamb
Eoghan O'Dea
Kenny Hallaert
Jacob Balsiger
Michael Ruane
Chino Rheem
Matt Giannetti

Hallaert and Ruane were on the final table last year and are hoping to emulate Mark Newhouse with back-to-back ME finals.

It was a disastrous final level for the organisers, TV company, etc. They would have been ecstatic that Sofia Lovgren. Liv Boeree and Melanie Weisner were all still part of the tournament as it approaches its climax but all three were eliminated just before the end of Day 4. They may not be tens, but they are definitely good for viewing figures. Just as bad, Felipe Ramos went out right at the end, so their dream of Neymar railing the final table has disappeared.

Mel & Liv

Other well-known players still in include:

JP Kelly
Richard Gryko
Dario Sammartino
Isaac Haxton
David Pham
Conor Drinan
Kathy Liebert
Chino Rheem
Mark Radoja
David Kitai
Marcel Luske
Vitaly Lunkin
Bryan Piccioli
Johannes Becker
Randy Lew
Greg Mueller

But never mind them - one of my heroes, Zu Zhou, is still in the tournament Take it down Zu. Or Zhou. Whichever is your first name. Heads-up against Yuan Yuan Li would make me happy.

I also have a new favourite - Gyeong Byeong Lee. That's a Main Event winner's name to be proud of.

There are just 100 players left in #74, and we have one player left, in 92nd place.

Guess who?

Yes, it's that man - Chris Ferguson.

He has already gained enough points here to lift him to the top of the WSOP Player of the Year list. Any further points will just improve his lead before the competition moves to Europe and then on to China.

This is his 17th cash in this year's WSOP - a record. His 27 cashes over this year and last is also a two-year record.

Only one selector, IrishTom, picked Ferguson. I expect a lot more will choose him next time.

The greatest player ever at the WSOP?

Day 5 of the Main has just finished.

The headline news is that Max Silver is going strong, finishinng the day in third place on 8.7m chips. I'm sure that won't be news to Debbie, who will have been up all night cheering him on. Likewise, it was a long and bitter night for Adam and Jo.

It was a bad day for the rest of our players, with just Ian Johns and Martin Finger surviving, and only just, trailing in 82nd and 84th of the 85 remaining players.

Back-to-back finals are still possible for both Kenny Hallaert and Michael Ruane, while previous November-Niners Antoine Saout and Ben Lamb are also still well-placed.

Gyeong Byeong was second with over 7m at dinner, but somehow managed to be eliminated by the end, but Zu Zhou finished the day in 11th place on 7.3m, nicely placed to storm through and win the bracelet.

The last two female players were eliminated late in the day, Jessica Ngu finishing 108th and Yuan-Yuan Li being the LWS in 105th place.

Silver has revealed his strategy for Day 6: "Get more chips, don't bust, don't f*** it up.”

This level of thinking is what separates the professionals from the recreational players.
