Moving to Doha, Qatar for a while. Which region does that fall into?

We've got a chart.  Anything east of Ipswich is in Europe.  That spans as far East as Ireland...

Why Doha?  That's the blog post surely?

Been in Qatar for a month, back here until Friday then back in Qatar until the 20th May.

Missed Mother's Day, and Easter (which is always a family picnic)

Will be missing Daugthers 7th birthday and Wife's birthday.

First weekend back is the Welsh National, and my wedding anniversary.

Can someone please help me find a way to get to Cardiff alive!

I think I've solved this.

A promise of a weekend away in Portugal in November!

My gosh it's been a while!

As some of you will know I have taken a break from poker this year due to working in the Middle East for some of it. Although I wasn't there that much (about 2.5 months) it did mean that when I was in the UK I wanted to maximise family time and therefore the poker took a back seat.

I have played a few live events though and thanks to some generous stakers on here I even took a shot at a UKIPT. Sadly I busted a few hands before Day 2 and didn't give a return to my backers which hurt me more than you can imagine.

I recently signed up to the APAT poker room under a new secret alias and played the bunch of week 4. Managed to finish 2nd after being the bubble boy in 3 of the 5 events. Unfortunatly Leigh outed me and any advantage I had by people not knowing they were up against such a fish has now gone. It was fun whilst it lasted and it was great to have conversations with Ger about if he liked a drink or not! what struck me most about those 4 days was how great the regular APAT players were towards an "unknown". If I had been new to APAT I would have felt most welcome.

Looking forward to playing a bit more and hopefully attending more events next year although I am heading back to Qatar on the 4th January for a couple of weeks.
