Following the European Amateur Poker Championship on August 28th.

With 36 Championship and Online events played, and a further 1 event to play, Mark Donnelly continues to lead the APAT Rankings.

With an expenses paid trip to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure event for the winner, there remains a great deal to play for.

The players will enter the final ranking event; the World Amateur Poker Championship, knowing that several members could still draw level or go ahead of Mark.  Details of this event will be announced in mid September.

1st - 43 points - Mark Donnelly (Dougal7878)

2nd - 35 Points - Wayne Parker (nosey-p)

3rd Joint - 31 points - Brendan Hartnett (ericstoner)

3rd Joint - 31 points - Alistair Fowler (Ironside)

3rd Joint - 31 points - Steve Talbot (SteveTheRake)

6th Joint - 30 points - Richard Davies (RHMD)

6th Joint - 30 points - Kevin Shutt (Zukertort)

To date, 264 players have scored APAT ranking points.

Do these ranking points start all over again when the season two tour starts with regionals on October 6th?

There's one event left for Season 1.  The points from that one will go towards the Season 1 leaderboard.

Season 2 points go towards the Season 2 leaderboard.

Just a quick query re: rankings for season 2...
How will they work? Will there be seperate rankings for eack area (regional, national, online) or are they all grouped together so that ranking points you earn online get added to the regional points earned and national points earned?

Also i know ive read it somewhere but what are the prizes for top of the rankings at the end of the season? is it just a prize for first?

Thanks for any replies. couldnt see a thread elsewhere, i did have a quick look around Smiley

I'm not 100% on this either.  Some clarification on the points allocation would be appreciated.

I think I remember that it's not just the accumulation of all your points through the season, but I was never clear exactly how it'd work.

I think it's mentioned elsewhere, but wouldn't know where to look first!

Top 20 results with only 5 live counting (although 5 national would be more logical)

It was along those lines and I could find it if I looked - but I really should do some work. Smiley

Cheers Jon.  5 live makes sense, as people will inevitably miss a number of regional and national events, and so they aren't penalised for this.

There are plenty of online events, but I wonder if anyone will manage to score 20 results Grin

If anyone could, my money would be on Nosey....the man is a giant in APAT online events.  Five final tables in Season One (and an FT in leg 1 of the Regionals).
