Great stuff.....Hope you is going to Cardiff. C u There if so Grant...
Fly down on Saturday morning with Chas & Jamie Kearns (bhoywonder & silverfox). Great couple of guys to travel with, who i got to know after sharing the seat next to Jamie from the beginning all the way to HU in the Scottish Final in July. Looking forward to it loads mate, especially catching up with all the APAT regs and Captain Cymru.
10 sleeps and counting, see you then

So now only 9 sleeps to Cardiff and to make life just a wee bit more exciting I've discovered I've been chosen to captain Team Braveheart at the ECOAP Team event at DTD in August. I'm hugely proud and honoured to take forward a Scotland team into battle against our Euro rivals, who are already boasting an amazing line up of captaincy themselves. No doubt gonna be an amazing 4 days in Nottingham

Huge congratulations on the Scotland captaincy and good luck in selecting the team. Right choice after the last season in my opinion.
Hope you come second :-)

Cheers guys, would obviously love both of you to get a place in your respective teams as well and no reason why you shouldn't be excellent candidates

No team event for me Grant, combination of work, home life etc, and being lucky having done it last year at the Home Internationals for England already, be good to see some fresh blood, I'm sure Steve will pick a cracking team... will be down for the events over the weekend though mate, will see you then for a beer or 3

Was a pleasure railing Chas and great entertainment. Getting a 4 way chop with only 10% of the chips in play mate, fantastic negotiating

I saw these 'parma' things on Come Dine With Me tonight and have to admit they look rather tasty. Anybody know anything about them?

If it is a Parmo you are talking about, it is unique to the Middlesbrough/Stockton area , never seen it on offer either in takeaway form or in a restaurant any further south than Northallerton about 15 miles away.
It is either an escalope of pork or chicken in breadcrumbs covered in White bechemel sauce and topped with cheddar cheese, usually the size of a frisbee.
The standard can vary from the ridiculously bad in certain takeaways to an absolute joy in a decent restaurant.
This dish became popular in the eighties in a really rough restaurant in the eighties called the Europa in the Boro, it was the only place to eat after the nightclubs kicked out so there was always a massive q, it was always seved with chips, salad ( half a tomato and a lettuce leaf) and tinned peas, I don't think it ever reached Michelen Stars status for some unknown reason but that was where the legend was born.
Nb if it was not a Parmo you were talking about then apologies, but every day is a learning day.
