2nd in a $3 - 401 runner Omaha Hi/Lo for $175.
Very pleased with the result, have been grinding since 8am this morning. Wanted that win badly though.
Bankroll is up to $600 almost to the penny so can add more games into the schedule again. Really pleased with how the last 6 weeks have gone online.
Keep up the good work mate! Hope the good run continues for season 6! Unless your on my table that is.

Thanks Mike, good to see you back!
Read Leigh's interesting blog post - I have never compared my stats in any great detail but it has made me think.
Early 5% EM 5% Mid. 42% ML 28% Late 20%
ITM 137/572 - 24%
Perhaps I am not playing aggresively enough as I rarely bust early.
Alternatively I guess it has a lot to do with my teeny average stake so would expect standard to be soft.

I think your stats show that you are well on course to continue moving up the poker ladder. Stick to the bankroll management that you have set yourself, I don't think you can read too much into a lack of aggression early on in a tournament. I think that the art here is to be able to play through the gears, so nothing crazy early on, and increase the aggression as you go, with the ability to change your play when the situation requires it. I make it sound so simple.

Am I A Man Or Am I A Muppet?
If I’m a man then I’m a muppet of a man…
I have had my first losing week for what feels like a couple of months. I ran really badly all weekend and couldn’t get even vaguely deep in anything. The roll sits at $535 so am $65 down on this point last week. It’s disappointing and a dent to my confidence as I definitely didn’t play my ‘A’ game this weekend – got in lots of awkward spots and made a few bad calls. I definitely think some more work is needed on my 4 card games – I can play a good basic game but lots of fine tuning required. These small stakes Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo games are still great through – soft does not describe them.
I have built some satellites into my grind now. It feels like a better way to spend my time to play more of the $2-3 sat’s than the $1 games. Saying that, I am not certain on my satellite strategy. It feels like you get a lot more tough decisions when you play satellites. That can only be a good thing though – it gives the bad players lots more opportunities to make mistakes. I will use the $2 Sunday storm sat’s to qualify for the APAT games although obviously will buy in if necessary. I am so pleased that APAT online is on Stars – a great result and no need to mess around with my bankroll. It gives me a nice opportunity to treat all the APAT games as a chance to take a shot. I will certainly be playing all of the league games.
I was forced to sit through an episode of ‘One Born Every Minute’ yesterday while playing poker. It was harrowing to say the least.. watched most of it through my hands and had to leave the room at least twice. How do people watch these programmes every week? It gives me new found respect for midwifes and the camera crew who made this programme.
If I’m a muppet then I’m a very manly muppet…

Been a while since I have updated but not a lot of decent results worth writing about. Roll has dribbled down to $500 although have $55 of that invested in the next 5 APAT league games. I have been playing the $2 Sunday Storm satellites quite regularly and am definitely in for a lot less than $55 so am quite pleased with that. I will use them as and when to keep qualifying for every league game. My success in the next couple of months worth of league games is obviously going to have a big effect on my overall roll. Also I am planning on taking shots and playing all the online championships this season. Not gone really deep in a big MTT for a while but not got loads of volume in. Will play a full day on Sunday so hopefully will reverse recent fortunes. I will take advantage of the $30 reload bonus for the Micro Millions and will expect to play circa 10 of the bigger events (+$8) – possibly partially staked as a package but confirming details. It should be a fun series with a $50K freeroll at the end if you play 3 events. The only frustration is the timings and not being able to play more! Vegas is definitely happening this year, we are planning to go with a couple of friends in September and working out the dates this weekend. I have no idea where we will stay although my girlfriend has voted for The Mirage because it has dolphins?? Its more a holiday than a poker trip but I will be playing a bit – maybe squeezing a couple of tournaments and a bit of cash into the week. Need to work on money for the trip now. Work is destroying me at the moment, natural disasters all over the place affecting PC components is a nightmare! Floods, earthquakes and smoke clouds conspire against me it seems! Going to win the lot in Coventry and bringing the girlfriend this time for some rail bird run good.

Nothing wrong with the Mirage but the dolphins will take up about 5 minutes of her time. Her: "Ohhh...aren't they cute" You: "Yeah, lovely" Her: "OK, let's go shopping...ooh, there's the Fashion Show Mall" You: "Off you go....I'm going to walk across to the Venetian"

Played the PokerPlayer GUKPT freeroll last night and won it! 1st out of 550 runners for a GUKPT main event seat worth £1,070!! Got about 5 hours sleep last night, the adrenaline was flowing so much. I used my ‘one time’ and won a huuuuge flip with three left - AK binking a King on the turn v JJ. They only paid 5 places with the second and third receiving £150 tournament tokens. The heads up was pretty awesome – not often I will be playing heads up for £1K. It was even better as the guy I was against seemed pretty clueless. I started the heads up with a 2:1 chip lead and ground it out quickly to win pretty comfortably. The only slight issue is that the GUKPT seat was intended for Walsall which starts this Friday! To play on Friday I would piss off the following in this order of importance:- Girlfriend – drag her to Walsall when I was meant to be spending some time with the inlaws. Parents – was supposed to be home for mothers day with the whole family Job – no chance of getting the Friday off work so would have to be ‘creative’ I have been speaking to the Poker Manager of the GUKPT this morning in the hope that I can swap my seat to a later event. I have asked for Coventry in August. I don’t think that will be a problem but if it is then I am not going to be very popular. Eitherway – I am going to be playing a GUKPT! An introduction to the big league...
