I enjoyed it.  It"s cash, so there are going to be lots of phoney wars before the massive hands.

I thought Antonius played very poorly (and got lucky).  But he is a handsome chap, and has a nice watch.  Ivey also made a shocking call.

I thought Tony G was playing well, and so was Jesus.

Tell you something though, that 50 Club is a bit of a dive isn"t it... ;D

Expected a lot more - not nearly as thrilling as High Stakes used to be.

Considering he"s supposedly one of the best players in the world, Phil Ivey was all over the place. Very loose play, with some strange calls..... and isn"t there a rule about keeping your chips properly stacked??

I was a bit underwhelmed too.

But the reality is that thats cash games to a tee. Its not an MTT where the structure dictates. The numbers of hands played were really quite few considering, these kind of shows get better as they progress, so i expect future episodes to be better as we understand the table dynamic leading up to that point. The only people mixing it up really were Ivey and Lindgren. Cunningham did impress me tho and TG was pretty unlucky.

I always think with these kind of shows, a great addition would be to have the players provide a retrospective commentary over the recording, to backup the real time commentary and explain the rationale/logic behind the decisions made at the time. That would be a seriously valuable to watch.

Twas a nice one eh? The Breitling Navigator that was so big you could almost tell the time on it from over the dealer"s shoulder - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Breitling-Navitimer.jpg

Yeah OK, I"m sad ...  :)

It wasn"t a "standard" one though.

My boss has that one, and Paddy"s was a notch or two above.  A bit of bling added.

He is too good-looking to be a poker player though.  They should all look like Tony G (no offence to the fella of course ;D).

Referring to him as "Paddy" makes him sound significantly less attractive ...  ;D

I just thought the overall production was poor, with cr@p camera angles, overcrowded table, no sound quality to speak of, poor setting, lighting, even down to the graphics showing the hole cards, poor hand selection, jeez I could go on.

When I watch Cash Game Poker on TV I don"t want to see the "reality" of grinding out a cash game I want to see personalities clashing, big hands, big pots, lots of talk, etc etc. My mums rice pudding skin had more perosnality on show than the players did on Monday night.  ::)
