Congratulations to Rupinder ‘George’ Bedi who made the final table of the PokerStars Sunday Million early this morning, finishing 7th for $28,413.

The tournament started with over 8,000 players, and the final four finishers secured a six figure payout each. The Sunday Million winner ‘TheGoingRate’, securing a payday of over $132,000!

George; playing as ‘George2Loose’ went out early on the final table when his Ace Five was counterfeited by ‘Kurshener’s’ Ace Six.

A former Gala Poker Tour winner and captain of the APAT team at the 2008 UK Team Championship, Bedi has had a strong start to 2009 and he will be looking to take that form into the APAT Welsh Amateur Poker Championship in Cardiff on April 4th & 5th, where he will start as one of the favourites. The Leicester man currently lies eigth in the APAT National Online Rankings after two events, having recently placed fourth in the Welsh Online Championship. He is a member of Nottingham Poker Club and plays regularly at Dusk Till Dawn.
