League Terms & Conditions
Posted by: | CommentsThe Terms & Conditions of the National League are as follows:
Schedule & Registration
1 – Each division will be run over 20 matchdays, with the first being February 1st and the last being November 1st. The National League final will be held on November 15th. Full Schedule.
2 – Once a player has registered for a club, they will not be eligible to register for another club during the season.
3 – There is no limit to how many players can represent each poker club in a match. However, players will be required to register for a club prior to their participating in any match. Non registered players will be disqualified from scoring points in a match.
Scoring Scheme
4 – Individual points will be allocated to the top ten finishing players at each match. The individual points will be allocated as 10 points for a player finishing in 1st position, down to 1 point for a player finishing in 10th position.
5 – A maximum of four players per club can score individual points in any one match. Should five players reach points scoring positions, the lowest of those points scorers will receive 0 individual points, and individual points will be allocated to the next best finisher. In this example, the player finishing in 11th position would receive 1 individual point.
6 – Individual points will be totalled for every match and the club finishing with the most individual points will receive 3 match points. The club finishing with the second most individual points will receive 2 match points. the club finishing with the third most individual points will receive 1 match point. No other clubs will score match points.
7 – Where clubs finish with an equal number of individual points, match point allocation will be sorted in the following order: a) The club who has the most individual points scorers will be deemed to finish ahead. Should this not separate the clubs, b) The club who has the highest single individual points scorer will be deemed to finish ahead.
Final Qualification: Clubs
8 – The top three clubs in each division in descending order of match points will qualify for the National League final.
9 – The best non qualifying team from the three divisions in descending order of match points will also qualify for the National League final.
Final Qualification: Players
10 – The top four players in descending order of individual points will qualify to represent their clubs in the National League final. Where players finish with an equal number of individual points, final team selection will be sorted in the following order: a) The player who has scored individual points in the greater number of matches will be deemed to finish ahead. Should this not separate the players, b) The player who has scored the highest single individual points will be deemed to finish ahead. Should this still not separate the players, c) A playoff will be organised between the appropriate players at Blue Square prior to the National League final.
National League Final: Scoring Scheme
11 – Individual points will be allocated to the top twenty finishing players at the National League final. The individual points will be allocated as 20 points for the player finishing in 1st position, down to 1 point for the player finishing in 20th position.
12 – Individual points will be totalled for the National League final and the club finishing with the most individual points will receive 3 match points. The club finishing with the second most individual points will receive 2 match points. the club finishing with the third most individual points will receive 1 match point. No other clubs will score match points.
13 – Where clubs finish with an equal number of individual points in the National League final, match point allocation will be sorted in the following order: a) The club who has the most individual points scorers will be deemed to finish ahead. Should this not separate the clubs, b) The club who has the highest single individual points scorer will be deemed to finish ahead.
Prizes
14 – Players will win prize money at each match as per the standard Blue Square prize payout scheme.
15 – The four team members of the top three final finishing National League clubs will each receive Gold, Silver or Bronze APAT National medals.
16 – The four team members of the National League winning club will each receive an entry to a GUKPT main event, worth £1,060 each. This prize will not be transferable.
17 – Should any / all of the four National League winning team members go on to win prize money with their GUKPT entries, then 20% of their total GUKPT prize money will be retained as a secondary prize for payment to the other individual points scoring members of their National League club.
18 – Payments will be made in ratio with the number of individual points scored by each player during the National League. Individual points scored by the four National League winning team members will be removed from the club total to allow for the payment calculation, as these players will not be eligible for the secondary prize having already received an individual GUKPT entry.
Compliance
19 – Soft playing against a player from the same club (or an opponent) is not allowed and will result in the disqualification of both players and any individual points they may score. Soft playing is also likely to be picked up by the Blue Square compliance / fraud team and lead to the closing of player accounts and possible confiscation of player funds.
General Terms & Conditions
20 – National League entry will be subject to APAT Terms & Conditions, in addition to the specific National League Terms & Conditions.
21 – As promoter of the National League, APAT reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or suspend the National League if, in the judgment of APAT, the National League is not capable of being conducted as specified. Further, APAT reserves the right to award a monetary prize in equal or greater value as the main prize in place of the main prize, at its sole discretion. The value of the main prize shall be determined on the basis of its actual value and not any potential value or prize receivable as a consequence of the main prize.
