Steve Warburton wins €941k at EPT Barcelona

Congratulations to Steve Warburton for his runner up finish to John Juanda at the EPT Barcelona main event yesterday, winning €941k for his efforts.

Steve is no stranger to APAT having competed in the APAT Pro League in season four, where he finished fourth in the Luton leg before taking a bronze medal in the Swansea leg.

2015 has seen Warburton really step up in the pro ranks. He adds his EPT success to a runner up finish at WPT Amsterdam earlier in the year for €150k. The previous GUKPT winner, also finished runner up in the PartyPoker Deepstack at DTD earlier this year.

Steve joins a stellar list of players who have made an APAT final table and gone on to win a WSOP, WPT, EPT or Irish Open title, amongst others.

We should also mention Aaron Gustavson who was earlier this month confirmed as the World #1 online player by PocketFives. Aaron won a couple of APAT medals online in season one and he also went on to win EPT London a couple of seasons back. The World online #1 title was also previously held by Chris Brammer, who has also final tabled an APAT event in past seasons.
