PocketFives.com ranks online poker players based on their tournament performances across major sites. Here are our top 20 players in the United Kingdom as they stand right now:
1. Marc “dean23price” Wright: Finished second in the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic in June for $24,000. He has over $2.4 million in tracked online earnings in his PocketFives profile.
2. Mathew “matfrankland” Frankland: Hailing from London, Frankland finished in the top 10 in two PokerStars SCOOP tournaments this year for a combined haul of nearly $130,000.
3. “RLOG”: This Edinburgh resident has finished in the top four in the PokerStars Super Tuesday three times this year for over $150,000 total.
4. Kevin “scarface2911″ Howe: This Glasgow resident just passed $2 million in tracked cashes in his PocketFives profile and is a two-time online poker Triple Crown winner.
5. Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer: A former #1 ranked player worldwide on PocketFives, Brammer won the PokerStars FCOOP Main Event late last year for an official payday of $236,000.
6. James “jamerOK” Cawley: Hailing from Cardiff, Cawley took second in the PokerStars Big $162 in May for $21,000.
7. Billy “BillyChat” Chattaway: This London resident is approaching $1 million in tracked cashes in his PocketFives profile and has nabbed a pair of online poker Triple Crowns.
8. Phill “Grindation” McAllister: This Winchester resident won the PokerStars Big $162 and finished second in the Sunday Million in May for a combined haul of $180,000.
9. Chris “moorman1″ Moorman: The most decorated player on PocketFives. Moorman is the only PocketFives member to break $8 million in tracked online poker cashes and has a record-setting 11 Triple Crowns. He won the 2009 Yearly PLB race.
10. Jono “EMSGAWA9″ Crute: Won the PokerStars Big $109 in mid-June for $17,000. Crute calls Belfast home.
11. Paul “badpab2″ Foltyn: This Doncaster native final tabled the PokerStars.fr SCOOP Main Event for $61,000. He’s about to lap $4 million in tracked cashes in his PocketFives profile.
12. “gregior”: Won the PokerStars $109 Cubed in mid-May for $20,000. He’s one of only a handful of PocketFives members with at least $4 million in tracked MTT cashes.
13. Sam “TheSquid” Grafton: He calls London home and recently finished second in the PokerStars $162 Sunday Six-Max for $16,000.
14. Craig “mcc3991″ McCorkell: He’s fresh off a bracelet win in the 2012 World Series of Poker and won an Ongame tournament in late July for $28,000.
15. “AKJMoscow”: This Leeds resident won the PokerStars Big $162 in March for $21,000. He’s ranked #155 worldwide on PocketFives.
16. David “davidv1213″ Vamplew: Finished eighth in the PokerStars TCOOP High Roller event to start off 2012 for $35,000.
17. Jack “jackellwood” Ellwood: This Gosforth resident finished second in the PartyPoker High Roller in July for $18,000 and has over $2.2 million in tracked cashes in his PocketFives profile.
18. “makkapakk”: Won a $500 Ongame tournament in February of this year for $22,000 and is ranked #169 worldwide.
19. “peelme1″: London’s “peelme1″ final tabled the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic in April for $22,000.
20. Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes: Final tabled a PokerStars SCOOP event in May for $41,000 and followed that up one week later with another SCOOP final table for $34,000.
PocketFives.com became well known for its Worldwide Rankings when the site launched in 2005 and we’ve since expanded to include leaderboards for individual countries, regions, and cities. Here is a look at the top 10 players in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings:
1. Matt “ch0ppy” Kay: This Canuck final tabled a $5,000 Ongame tournament earlier this year for $118,000. One week earlier, he won the PartyPoker $200,000 Guaranteed for $57,000.
2. Griffin “Flush_Entity” Benger: Another Canadian, Benger is a former #1 player on PocketFives and the reigning Yearly PLB and Monthly PLB champion.
3. Chris “Gettin Daize” Oliver: This poker player living in Costa Rica won January’s PokerStars TCOOP Main Event and officially booked a $285,000 payday.
4. T.J. “1bigacehole” Ulmer: This Montreal online poker player won the PokerStars $100 Rebuy in January for $67,000. More recently, he final tabled the site’s Super Tuesday for another $41,000.
5. Ondrej “Vinkyy” Vinklarek: The top ranked player in the Czech Republic, Vinklarek won the weekly iPoker $200,000 Guaranteed in June for $34,000.
6. “1banditpanda”: This Romanian poker player final tabled the weekly Ongame major in July for $24,000 and was the runner-up in that month’s Monthly PLB race.
7. “Dattebayo”: Austria’s “Dattebayo” final tabled a PokerStars SCOOP event in May for $102,000. If that weren’t enough, he final tabled a separate SCOOP event for another $75,000.
8. Marc “dean23price” Wright: The top ranked U.K. online poker player, Wright hails from Liskeard.
9. “padjes”: The top ranked player in the Netherlands, “padjes” has already won the PokerStars Big $162 and Bigger $162 this year for over $67,000 total.
10. “whereisdonny”: Thailand’s “whereisdonny” finished second in a PokerStars SCOOP event earlier this year, officially walking away with a $140,000 payday.
