WCOAP Day 8: Webber Wins Bracelet As Main Event Starts

Chris Webber won his second WCOAP bracelet, when talking down event #18 Pot Limit Omaha High Low.  The event drew a sold out 80 runners and following a very hard fought final table, it was Webber who took the Championship title and bracelet, beating Frenchman Arnaud Benaddi into silver and Belgian Danny Covyn into bronze.

Day 8 also saw the start of event #17 Main Event.  194 players started the day, with 42 surviving to return for day 2 on Monday.  English Amateur Champion Shirley Cole led at the end of day 1a with 216k chips, while defending main event Champion Tristan Chaplin also made it through holding 95k chips.
