Dear Mr Tompkinson

I would like to apply for the position of Captain of Stockton Poker Club. I have previous experience in a similar role, so I believe this would be an excellent fit for both sides. I have recently completed a similar project, so am free to take up the position as soon as required.

I have already been to Teesside on one occasion - to play a Gala tournament, when I was very unlucky to be eliminated holding AA just 3 places off the money. With the games being held on the Interweb, with luck I would be able to carry out the role without having to visit the area again very often.

Please let me know the outcome as soon as you can, as there are a number of other similar roles on the market and I need to know where I stand.

I don"t mind how a new captain is produced, as long as it is for the good of the club. I am sure Phil will make a great choice. If the members wish to create an election, this is fine as well.

Thanks for those that PM"d me regarding the captaincy and of course to John for his application who got extra merit for  mentioning my cousin in his ps :)

I"m pleased to announce that the Stockton Cock himself Stuart Ward will be the new Stockton captain from today.

Good luck to Stu and the whole of the Stockton team going forward x
