I think you"re taking the old adage "always leave your audience wanting more" too far...  so c"mon and give us Day 2  ;)

to be honest, even though I"ve been off for the last couple of days, I"ve been fairly busy. Got my stocktake this weekend, which I run, plan, and sort out.

Also a new MD who insists that every store should look perfect all the time. Which after 10 years of neglect and payroll cuts after cuts, is making life muchos fun at the mo.

Omaha Day 1

I"ll be honest, I don"t remember too much about it. It"s a blur until I get 3 handed, get it all in pre with QQxx against AJxx, A on the flop, Q on the river. And win again. I know I played decently well, put pressure on in the right spots etc but considering it is the weaker of the games I play, I was pretty happy ( goes without saying!)

Not much more to add about day 1, we were in the lead, we were happy, but we also knew we"d done 40% of the job.
The plans we"d put in place were working. Stu was a little down as Carl and myself had had an awesome 1st day,  but as we all said to him, Friday would be his day...

Day 2

Woke up a lil bit tired but absolutely raring to go. At 8.30am. SIGHHHHH!! Made myself go back to sleep until 11, then sorted food out and strolled over to DtD.

The plan for day 2 was pretty much the same to start with. I was to continue playing the NL 6 max tables and Stu the Omaha 6 max.

We"d gone into the day as leaders of the team event, but we also knew that we"d only done 40% of the job. No difference at all to the style of the play. Again the target was top 3. Amazingly, I didn"t win the 3rd game, only finishing 3rd. Again, the details are now a bit hazy on how I managed it, no scares until the last 3, and then lost a standard race.

And as I"m sitting in a bar after stocktake, having a quick drink and it"s quite late with an early start, that"s it for today!
