Plus I"m not entirely sure that the number of guest relates to individual "users".

On looking through the list I see "Guest" checking out pages fro 2008 / 2009 for 14 seconds.

My guess is that bots/spiders are counted each time they view a page.

So, one bot/spider viewing 10 pages = 10 guests.

Also... I might be wrong here but I"m sure it was "past 15 minutes" before.. now its 180.. although I could be wrong. Maybe a setting changed on the forum (not me honest!) x

It"s something I"m working on guys and nothing to worry about.  Guests are a mixture of non signed in people (some members, some not) and some google bots.
