Season 6 Travel Tips - Cork
cashman:
irritating man would like to add the first 2 ports of call
1. Hotel bar, one would need a rest after traveling such a long way.
2. Franciscan Well Brewery/Pub, one who likes their ales & beers would like to expand their knowlage on such fine things.

Paulie_D:
First port of call will be The Shelbourne
Nice big pub with limited outdoor seating out front for the smokers or those who just want to watch the young ladies walk by. Allegedly with free Wifi.
Here"s example of the local fauna from my last visit.
If the mood strikes me...and it probably won"t I might trudge down to The Corner House later...but it would take a might of persuading.
I avoid hotel bars on general principles* in that they are nearly always more expensive than proper pubs and the service is generally better in pubs too.
*unless it"s after hours of course.
AceOnTheRiver:
I land in Cork at 14.35.
I guess I"ll just look for this and you"ll all be nearby

Paulie and I arrive at 15.10 on Friday and are meeting JP in an airport bar, before catching a taxi to the hotel. Why not post your arrival time here and see if we can share the taxi costs.
