Euro 2012 - Get It Quietly Thread
Chipaccrual:
So the top 2 from Group B play the top 2 from Group C in the Semi Finals.
Three of the countries are busto and one of the countries is Germany ;)

Any views on England"s performance ?
Hart - Should be England keeper for years to come
Cole - Although it pains me to say it, he probably is the best left back in the world at the moment
Lescott - Did himself no harm
Terry - Solid, but all a bit too last ditch for my liking
Johnson - Out of position loads. Played numerous players onside during the four game. Looked good going forward.
Milner - Why ? Just why ?
Gerrard - Englands best player in the tournament, but struggled in the second half of games
Parker - Ran around a lot
Young - Had a shocker, got the feeling he"s started to believe his own press
Welbeck - All good for the future, a bit like bambi on ice at times
Rooney - Gave no reason to have included him in the squad. Expectations too high on him ?
Carroll - Distribution is terrible. Does the hard work of getting the ball, then is way too sloppy
Walcott - One impact game, other than that, disappointing
Oxlade-Chamberlain - Would have liked to have seen him play more. Looks promising.
Defoe - 13 minutes, thanks for getting on the plane
Henderson - :D :D :D :D :D :D :D , no seriously, HOW ?
As for the 7 that didn"t get to play, oh well, I"m sure Poland and the Ukraine are lovely this time of year.
Chipaccrual:
Just thinking about the 7 that didn"t play
2 spare keepers, Green & Butland
A reserve back 4 in Kelly, Jones, Jagielka, Baines
Oh, and Downing. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Any views on England"s performance ?
Hart - Class, and will get better and better.
Cole - Is the best left back in the world at the moment
Lescott - Positional sense 1st class.
Terry - Did everything that was asked, just can"t shake image of him looking like he was running thru treacle, vs Sweden
Johnson - When reacting to a defensive situation, did superb, saved us lots of times. If he has to think, useless
Milner - Can"t cross, Can"t tackle, Can"t head, isn"t pacey, isn"t skillful.
Gerrard - Englands best player in the tournament. Where have you been for the past 2 tournaments Stevie.
Parker - Reliable, never doing anything he knew he couldn"t do. "Did exactly what its said on the tin"
Young - Hate him, but in his defence, i think our tactics thwarted his ability
Welbeck - Brazil really will be his tournament
Rooney - Lack match fitness and it showed too much
Carroll - Carried on his late season form, but will only ever be an impact player at this level
Walcott - Just me? Other than immense pace...does what?
Oxlade-Chamberlain - See Welbeck
Defoe - Other things more important to him I think
Henderson - Didnt do anything wrong, didnt do anything right.
England-til-i-die-opinion - Heroic defending, bodies on the line, like only England can.
Harsh opinion - We all laughed at Ireland-Spain,...I think the whole of Europe just had a laugh at us.............
Cold light of day - we have a solid base to build on. Hodgson now has 2 years to find the balance between disciplined/oganisation...and attacking paced quick thinking forward play.
We have the players to do it, can he find the key.....
Hate Penalties, love England.

same old tired explanations, players not good enough, tactics/formation wrong, tempo not quick enough, players were tired, it"s the managers fault so SACK him..
and so the cycle goes on ever since 1970 tbh, send all our young kids abroad and get them coached the right way or spend spend spend and bring over the best coaches to coach our coaches and finally get it right at grass roots..
there are to many WRONG things ingrained within our football psyche, we need the FA to make more radical change, we need help from some forward thinkers... i repeat WE NEED HELP we have a disease in this country not just in England but Scotland Wales and Ireland to.. Alas it won"t happen, the Premier league is to powerful now and greed/money takes precedent, so the all the above will never happen, its been 46 years since England won anything, does anyone want to bet we win anything in the next 20 years?
