i second the idea of a squad of maybe 5 (or 6) and that only 4 can play in a match, either that or a slightly different scoring system ( or both)  :D

How about a Squad of "up to 6 players" where your top 4 players score points. That way it"s not a massive issue if someone can"t make it one week?...

Teams of 5, 4 scores to count in each game, 5 teams in each prelim,. group. (25 runners max. per game).

If you get a really bad beat early on in a game, it"s not so damaging to the overall team, or if you only have 4 players one week then they all count from the get go.

= More money in the pot and hopefully more players playing.

Same basic structure viz-a-viz QF, SF etc.....Much preferred this to the league from those that I have spoken too ;)
