New Year in Vegas

Spending Xmas in New York and new year in Vegas, hitting the big 40 and thought it was about time we went to sin city. Any tips on things to do, places to eat, bars to drink at and where to lose my money.

Make sure u see a Cirque du Soleil show....absoultely amazing....O the best imo but all outstanding.
Helicopter trip to Grand Canyon a must too.
Too many bars and places to eat to recommend depending on what u like but Grand Lux Cafe in Venetian pretty good for a reasonably priced meal!!

i would say that terry fator at the mirage is awsome. The elvis show at the aria is one of the best cirque de soleil shows. The bar just outside the elvis show is very nice if a little expensive.

If you like rides - Stratosphere tower rides and the New York New York roller coaster.
Steakhouses: Gallaghers at New York New York, the one on the 5th floor at Imperial Palace (if they haven"t kncoked it down), The Range at Harrah"s, the one on the top floor at Binnions and Circus Circus. We"ve also had an awsome meal at the steakhouse at M Casino but you"d need a car for that.
Breakfast: Denny"s - amazing milshakes
Sightseeing:Apart from Grand Canyon, Red Rock is good but unless you can get a tour you need a car
