England A Team for APAT Home International 2012

I am delighted to announce the players selected for the England A team at the Genting Casino in Stoke on November 30th 2012.

Firstly can I thank all of those that applied to play and say that our task was an extremely difficult one indeed, given the calibre of the candidates. We could quite easily have picked another 3 teams of a similar standard.

I decided to apply a certain criterior to my selections and that was to look at those players that have supported the APAT Live events over the past 12 months or so, coupled with a sound poker background. Having played every APAT Live event myself since 2010, I felt I was fairly well placed to select on this basis, and it would also offer an opportunity, and a thank you, to some, who perhaps in other circumstances might not be considered for an event like this one.

The APAT Live events are, in my opinion, a vital part of APAT, for without them we would simply become another on-line poker site and all of the friendship that have been built up over the past 5 years or so may well dwindle away and in some cases disappear altogether.

Therefore I have selected the following 4 players to join me in the team:-



Carl Pilgrim

Glenn Laming

Don Roberts

Ken McBride


I"ve decided not to embarrass them with a glowing tribute, as you all know who they are and what they will bring to the team

Finally can I wish all of the players that have been selected to represent their country the very best of luck. England are ready!!
