SOLD OUT Staking Request 25th Nov Poker Stars Sunday storm/mm97 & 98
Waz1892:
So i fully understand, (and if I do, then oops to a degree - but its fine - all part of the learning curve)
For example -
I cash for a total of $100. as per my offer - 90/10% spilt in favour of the stakers.
Thus, $90 goes to the stakers, given dependant on % splits they"ve bought. 10% = $9.00. 20% = $18.00 etc.
I win the remainder of $10.
Of which 1% of what the stakers received goes to APAT as per T&c"s. $9.00
I close with $1.00?! ???

Good luck Waz. In an attempt to be constructive, I wonder if selling 100% is the right thing to do here? Would you have been better off keeping at least 25% back for yourself - about ten bucks? I don"t see much potential for you to make much of a return here - if you cash for $1,000 you would bank $90.
If you were selling 100% I"d have recommended a 70/30 split or thereabouts and i reckon you"d have sold just as fast. I think you"ve been too generous as it stands and basically you"re playing 3 mtt"s with little prospect of making any decent return for yourself.
All the best from Glenn

ty glen, and yes i agree looking at it that way. However it is for this very reason that i wanted to make it attractive as possible, with the knowledge i dont have a good record..so wouldn"t dare ask for 70/30 or such.
this was a feeler to see what would happen... ive sold out, so much more quicker than i ever thought, so it worked as its clearly an attractive offer, with low cost to the stakers...this was my intention...not to win a load for me.
If I prove myself then I could look to earn more respect and gain a better % of myself etc.
Step 1 - earn respect
Step 2 - get paid for the respect earnt

good luck to all involved.....

1% of $90 is $0.90, so you would be left with $9.10.
As I see it, you have sold 90% at 1.11 (or a mark-up of 11%). Good luck with the tournaments. I hope you do end up sending $9 to APAT, cos that would mean a cash of $1,000.
