Software Discussion
Foggy:
Sorry, my vote would be to move again to a different platform. They are obviously making money on the back of our deposits, entrance fees, rake. Lets pay it to a provider that has decent software and makes the whole experience of playing online better. I note the comments on playing with other APAT members, but this happens wherever we play.

I"m sure someone else will come along to word it better than I am about to ... but surely, having been a member since inception you"ll know that APAT swallows costs with site hosting/Venue payments/value added online tournaments/value added seats at live games etc.
In order to survive and offer APAT members added value/great structured deep stack tournaments (bearing in mind this season being the first where standard rake has had to be applied to tournies and tbh amazing how many years we were able to be offered it rake free) ... these costs have to come from somewhere ... sponsorship. It"s not a case of "let"s just move the games to another network ... APAT are always striving to get the best possible deal in order to offer it"s members added value. I"ll play where they go.
I"m personally grateful that we still have APAT running - especially in harder times all round.

You do realise that it"s not that simple...don"t you?
At the moment, APAT is making that money with, (I presume) a proportion going to BOSS and that is funding APAT going forwards.
Could it be improved, of course, and I have no doubts that this is high on the agenda for Matt/Des/Leigh but these things tend to move glacially (if at all).
At the moment, I can only say...don"t **** where you eat....it"s all very well to discuss shortcomings but let"s be careful about not throwing our toys out of the the pram and the baby with the bathwater.
OK, that"s enough metaphors / cliches from me
TheSnapper:
Try playing on ipoker atm, tbh Boss is not the best but it ain"t all that bad either and the holdem tourneys and cash games are really soft.
Seems to me that game selection is a more important criteria in choosing where to play.
