1. Could it be the worlds has finally outgrown one day events? I understand completely that the mere thought of this is a logistical ballache but it looks fit to burst!

2. I"d agree the stud could do with tweaks (talking from experience here) but only minor ones, the idea of 10k stacks and all that is mental for a 1 day event...if they ever make these 2 day events then maybe...i like the idea of a button posting antes early on, but that seems more suited to the HORSE comp than anything else...like i dont think its possible to give stud any more legroom, last time we played deep into the night and had very little time left (that said hitting the level cap sucked, could do with maybe 1 or 2 levels more in the middle somewhere? Id have happily finished an hour later than having 15 big bets / 30 small bets on the entire table)

3. Omaha"s fine, no reason to change that all that much

4. HU as 128 runners would be sick, i agree that double the prize pool is all lovely...but thats 64 dealers on 32 tables...sure not impossible seeing as its on the "quietest" day...but my god that"d be a nightmare from just about everyone"s point of view...i agree with leigh, they"d have to effectively nuke the structure to make that fit!

5. The main event structure is perfectly fine, sure because its a £100 it should have a better structure but again your looking at time constraints, maybe adding levels would work better, give it its own structure? would that make people happier? perhaps...but the event looks fine as it is.

6. Where"s my shootout events! :D :D

Basically its poker players doing what they do best, asking for immense structures in infinitely short timeframes...but guys seriously, it looks time, next season...to MAYBE turn this into a week long affair? i understand why its a 5 day series completely...but worlds? surely that one could justify a week or even more?

Just in regard to the last comment..... I totally agree. It seems a shame to call this the WCOAP when there is a cap on players and only running one day events (except the main). It seems like only the people who hear about the release are lucky enough to guarantee themselves a seat. Perhaps next time you can look into running 2 day events with bigger fields to really challenge people.

Having said that, well done for all of the organisational effort you have put in, don"t wish to seem ungrateful for your hard work..........just a thought.

You have to remember that this is run on a shoestring. The buy ins are all kept "affordable", which means the juice is very low compared to other events that DTD run - they are not getting paid a great deal, but we"re asking them to provide a vast array of variants for five consecutive days. I"m amazed that we have what we have - to push for more would be perhaps a step too far.  I suspect DTD won"t actually make anything on the juice as it is - stretching it out over more days is just going to mean a need to push up the buy ins so that the juice pot is bigger..... and that would go against the APAT ethos of keeping poker affordable.

Has anyone even run the numbers of the revised structure I proposed?

Remember I made the stacks about 65% bigger but the blinds 100% bigger. Seems to me that the time-frame should be about the same.

Anything more than 1 day for £50 events and below is stretching it a bit tbh. Personally think it is very unique to have a £75 (or £100 event here) that is 2 days long. Personally I wouldn"t want to play stud (or any other game for that matter) for a day and a half to win a bowl. The structures are very good as they are imo and stretching it further just wouldn"t be economically viable.

Yes I think the time frame should be about the same. It would definitely be preferable to "button bring ins" which i think is a terrible idea.

TBH, I think the original structure is fine as it is. In my experience most stud players prefer a smaller bring in, particularly in Razz where its virtually dead money.

Peter Thorpe:
Like im not saying i dont appreciate all the work they do, nor am i saying that the structures at the moment are for the most part very nice...that said when an entire series of 10 events sells out before the first week is out...thats something that has to be noticed, sure some people wouldnt like two day events at the £50 level, but if it resulted in the event being bigger due to an increased cap then things start to change....or why not make worlds a tiny bit more expensive? would that satisfy people?...i dont know im just throwing ideas out there
