WSOP Main Event - best way of paying?

(1/2) > >>

Joker161:
I am planning on playing the ME this year, and was wondering if anyone had a view on how to pay.

Do I (i) pay up-front with a £30 bank fee for the transfer; (ii) set up a US Dollar bank account, which probably costs more; or (iii) take cash with me, which would be more than $10,000 and so would be breaking US law (although not by much and they never check).

Views?

P.S. Would anyone be interested in having a piece? I was thinking of selling 20%-25% of the action, no mark up. Obviously I would do a proper staking post.

It"s not against US law to carry more than $10k in currency (or currency equivalents) you just have to declare it on your Customs Form.

As long as you can explain WHY you have it you should have no trouble.

Frankly, to avoid any issues...pay the £30.

Pay the £30 save a whole heap of shiite  ;D

Blatant "I have a huge bankroll and can afford $10k events" brag post!!

Personally if i could afford to lump $10k into the buy in im not going to worry about paying £30 fees on top, as Ger said done and dusted no hassle..

Staking i think you would be able to sell %s yes.. if you opened a thread i would be interested but only prehaps 1% as im poor..

Good luck in your quest, and enjoy the experience.. I have played the ME (brag  :) ) and still to this day remember nearly every minuet of the time i played with utter joy ... priceless
