WCOAP 2013 - Team Poland

(1/3) > >>

ian.ski309:
Following our spectacular debut and gold medal success in the 2009 ECOAP, Team Poland have flattered to deceive ever since without so much as a sniff of a podium position. Change is inevitable, and it is therefore with great pleasure that I announce the personnel who will represent Team Poland at DTD next month :

Ian Szerlowski  (Captain)
Marcin Rejmak
Arek Sinkiewicz
Andrew Harrison
Antony Wolsey

Andrew and Antony both have an impressive and proven poker pedigree, they are certainly no strangers to APAT Final Tables. They both qualify to play for their country by virtue of Polish Grandparents. I know that they are both fiercely proud of their heritage and hugely honoured to be representing Poland at International level. I warmly welcome them both to the team and come the end of tournament I hope to be joining them in a similar celebration to the one pictured below :

Excellent news Ian I"m glad you have managed to recruit a team look forward to doing battle!!

Pilf:
Firstly I"d like to thank Ian for having me on Team Poland.
It"s a huge honour and I am incredibly proud.
I"d also like to thank Des and the APAT team for allowing me to compete based on my maternal grandmothers Nationality. As the only living Grandparent that I have contact with it makes me incredibly happy to make an 85 year old woman proud.
I look forward to going up against all the other teams, especially the English and the Irish whom I intend to slap with a badbeat or 2!

Can she play poker? Poland could still do with one more player.

Hello all.

Very proud to be included in the team, although I have not been a regular on the APAT circuit. Really looking forward to this and to meet the people that make this forum tick and hopefully put some big points on the board for Polska

Only really played one major APAT tourney and was a corker last year in Newcastle, such a laugh and everyone played the game in good spirits. Hopefully will recognise a few people from that day during the WCOAP.

All the best everyone.

Andrew Harrison
