Really enjoyed playing this event, and [obviously] nice to come away with the bracelet ;D
I had a really great time all day - the event was run to D2Ds typically high standards and a had very friendly atmosphere on and off the tables. Congratulations to Bryn who played really well the whole day. Big thanks to Des and the rest of the APAT crew for organising a brilliant poker series - I"ll definitely be back to play more of these.

Can I just explain this hand as I think this type of hand is why the cash championship is so good.
The way this hand actually went was as follows
Ian didn"t have £200+. I was the biggest stack in the hand with £168, Ian would have had about £80ish at that point and Anonymous was a stack of about £120.
Ian raised UTG and was clearly happy to gamble with ATC to get to the final table. The money didn"t mean anything to him and I was well aware of this. The call by Anonymous was strange as she should have known that Ian would call her very very wide so I thought she must have some kind of small pair/implied odds type hand as I was pretty sure she would raise a big hand for value Vs Ian. I had AQ.
Now shoving £168 in here with AQ under normal circumstances is usually terrible but the dynamic had created a unique spot where I can actually do this for value. I fully expect Anonymous to fold her hand and for it to be a decent sized pot between myself and Ian, I reckoned it would just get me to the final table as well but I would have shoved even if it had not as it is a value play. I thought that if Anonymous called I was likely to be 50/50 against her which would mean that it is a very +EV pot for me as it would put me on the final table with a big stack and create a decent side pot.
The hand did go to plan, it was a great dynamic and I think this is the kind of thing that makes this concept so good and something that APAT can do again in the future.
It would be great to get some tables full of APAT regs playing this.
