There were 40 runners last night, guaranteeing 4 seats into day 2.

At 3:31am, I finished 5th, stone bubble, no refunds.

From 30K, went down to 26 then up to 36 then back to 26 in the first two levels. Just lots of small pots mainly. Then a nice gift. UTG+1 limps at 150/300 (25), a guy in mid position makes it 625 (already odd). I make it 1925 with the  Ac Kc. Folds round and the original limper and raiser both call. Flop is all clubs. Checked to me and I do a sneaky check. Turn is a brick, checked to original raiser who bets 625. I flat, limper folds. Turn is a 3 which pairs the board and the original raiser insta jams about 60K into about a 6K pot. I snap and he has Ace high...

From their on I got my stack up to 75K without trouble. I then never fluctuated from between 75K-110K from there to the last 9. I was the shortstack on the final table but still with >20bbs. The structure was very very good. From there on out there were a string of bizarre eliminations that ended up with 5 of us left, I was shortest with 70K at 3K/6K. Next shortest stack had about 150K.

Played 5 handed for an hour. In that time AJ>A10 all in pre despite the door card being a ten. I was trying to get steals through when I could but was so card dead, couldn"t find any spots to get my stack heading in the right direction. In the end jammed 68K at 3K/6K with A3 and couldn"t beat AK.

Obviously annoying to play for > 8 hours for nothing. I am happy with how I played though, on another day, I would be taking through a nice stack for day 2.

August is looking very busy poker wise. I will be playing the main and side event in Cardiff then a full schedule at DTD at the UKCOAP. Its also yet to be decided what DTD are running in August and beyond for us to target. In an ideal world, I have always wanted to keep all APAT stuff on my own dime. That may not be possible in August with a lot coming at once. It will also depend on whether I make an England team.

If I do decide to request staking then it will be on this thread and will sell as a package for all events in Cardiff and for the UKCOAP.
