I"ve not read all the threads so apologies Des if this has been answered already, however...
I think it would have been better to NOT allow people to buy in direct or reserve a seat for £5 until after the satellites had finished.
Surely that would have increased the numbers in the sat"s and benefited WH.

16/1 shot to get a seat. May as well have used the £5 to reserve.

You could also force everybody to qualify through satellites and not allow any direct buy in option - it would increase the satellite entries and make more money - but it wouldn"t be a good idea.
This is for entry to a live tournament - I don"t see any reason why there should be any penalty for anyone who doesn"t want to play online to get there.

This is for entry to a live tournament - I don"t see any reason why there should be any penalty for anyone who doesn"t want to play online to get there.

I"m not suggesting penalising anyone. But if 160 had bought in direct as soon as it opened the satellites would have been null and void.
No one likes playing online less than I do but I played this evenings sat to support APAT and its partner for this event.
Also I believe that APAT events should be open to all players even those with very limited funds who cannot afford the £82.50
