It"s an absolute honour to be chosen to captain Scotland and I hope I do the role and our country proud.

As for team selection we have a fantastic pool of talent to choose from and I am going to have a very hard task in choosing from it, so can all players interested in being selected please post their availability below for all 3 events asap and PM me their reasons why they think they should be selected.

The events are as follows:

Home International Championship  Fri/Sat 23rd/24th august 2013 at DTD, Nottingham

European Amateur Team Championship  Thurs/Fri  5th/6th December 2013 in Prague (venue TBC)

World Amateur Team Championship  Thurs/Fri  17th/18th April 2014 venue TBC

I will be looking to select the Home International Team before the end of July, so people can make travel arrangements etc. I will be PM"ing potential vice captains for the B team within the next week. I will also announce the European Champs Team shorty thereafter, so people have plenty of time to book flights, hotels, etc in Prague. I will probably leave the selection for the Worlds until January to take into account current season form etc etc.

As current Home International Champions we have a hard act to follow, but I am confident that we can do well!!!!

So get your names in and let"s do it for SCOTLAND!!!!
