15% of the prize pool (including rebuys) seems a steep amount of rake.
Most comps add 10% to the buyin, where this is 17.5% roughly.
Is there a reason for this particular charge?

Sorry Rob, I"ve been on holiday for the past week and I guess I normally pick up this type of post.
LPPL works in a different way to APAT. It actually has three employees, while APAT does not have any. Mark is full time managing the LPPL pub relationships and events (and increasingly helping at APAT), as is Kim who runs the LPPL admin (issuing and chasing 200 invoices to pubs monthly amongst many other things) and Katrina who is the book-keeper.
LPPL have ran successfully with this type of cost structure over the past six years, but it is different to what APAT would typically offer of course.
Swinebag:
Thanks Des
With APAT acquiring LPPL, I was very surprised that an event under the APAT banner would have such a charge and be self-deal.
However, this explains things. Thanks again

Anybody who does want to play this event - and a fair few APAT members have already entered (thanks guys and gals) - are encouraged to register for it ASAP.....time is running out and so are the places!!!
