<< < (2/4) > >>

HaworthBantam:

Good report Rob, and good to meet you.

See you in Dublin.

technolog:
Great report Rob!

George2Loose:
10 3 is the nuts!!!

Zanshin:
The cash game was fun. At least I was drunk enough to laugh when my KK ran into Stickys AA after we had both straddled and were playing blind, till someone else bet.

For a 1/1 game it was a little disappointing we couldn't get the straddle past £32  ;)

Excellent tourney report  ;D

Cyntaf:
Hi everybody, huge big thank You to you all. For giving me a great experience, a warm welcome, and life lasting memories. Sorry if it sounds a bit american, i don"t care. Can"t thank Des, Richard, Tony and the other APAT members enough for all their hard work and dedication which ultimately is for Our benefit. I found all the staff at the Maybury excellent and helpful, great surroundings, it felt like a second home(which it was actually for 3 days) ;D

I thought I was relatively popular back home with a huge base of friends all over. Well, I returned home from Edinburgh a far wealthier man with regards to friendships. I tried to get around to all different groups to say hello, and no matter who, all made me welcome. I only regret that I didn"t get around to everybody. With more tourneys on the horizon, i would hope to put that right.

I personally kicked off on Friday in the re-buy, being lucky to split as chip ldr with 2nd and 3rd, which set up my weekend, basically free rolling through to Monday.
Many drinks later with Jamie, sticky, Scouse, Paulinbob ;) Tony Andy(not sure if your aware, but he is the Euro Champ) :o I can feel you going red faced now Andy, shed loads of other players too.

Saturday, great poker, superb table, good fun with BillyHo Lukyburger, Andy and all the others, Late on Our table broke and I found myself seated between Glen, our respected and deserved runner up, and Gordon Gimac arthur. I thought not so much fun now, but how wrong i was, again the friendly banter and proffessionalism(is that right? sounds good) shone through, and apart from fatigue setting in I had a great time. Now more drinks, more meets with E/port guys Karl etc Chezger and co, decided to have an early night, ready for day 2, gets home at 05:30  :-[

Sunday, a little flat, then having spoke to other members, Robert, Dan etc i decided, I had done the best i could, with as few mistakes as possible. I"m still not 100% sure, may start a thread soon for opinions, or maybe just let it go??
I was a little annoyed that i bubbled, On reflection though, I"m well pleased with my result.

Now all that remains, is for me to congratulate all the final table. Goes without saying especially, Ian in 3rd, Glen in second and Big Big Congrats to Jason
Cymru am Byth

Good comeback I"m mrchips, and well done ECK nice 1 matey.

I apologise if I"ve missed anyone, but thanks again for a great time.

Hope to c ya again soon

Paul McGuinness
