Caribbean Poker Tour Packages Not Available to UK Players
(1/1)
APAThetic:
Hi guys,
I was going to try to register for a CPT package freeroll on William Hill, but it"s now showing as:
"Please note: Caribbean Poker Tour (CPT) packages are not available to players from UK due to United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) regulations. For more information please refer to term #8."
Anyone understand why this is? I thought we had the best gambling laws around.
Here"s a link to the info page:

It"s because the events are taking place in a non-regulated country.
Genting and DTD had to pull the satellites completely a few weeks back, and this would appear to be the stance that the other skins have now taken.

Thanks for the reply Chipaccrual,
Does this apply just to freerolls? What about the cash satellites, are we ok in them?
Chipaccrual:
5. Caribbean Poker Tour (CPT) packages are not available to players from UK due to United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) regulations. In case a UK player wins a CPT package, they will not be entitled to the prize and will not be able to convert it into cash.
APAThetic:
OK, thanks. I"ve never heard of that before. It would be a bit of a bummer to qualify for a package and then find out you can"t use it. Especially if you"d already invested in some new budgie smugglers! :o 8) :o
