O8 Hand Last Night
(1/1)
Sugar_Free:
Playing in the LPPL O8 league game last night and the following hand played out:
Everyone is getting short stacked, there"s a raise all-in in front of me, I re-raise all-in, and then there"s 2 callers who both check it down - basically cards don"t get turned over.
I have Ah 2h Kd Jc
The board runs out (can"t remember the exact order but these are the cards) 5h 6s 10c Qh
So on the turn I"ve got Ace high with no low but by my reckoning I"m drawing to an incredible 29 cards to keep me in the tournament, regardless of what anyone else has.
My question to all you numbers and odds geeks out there - is there any hand or board possible where you can have more outs than 29? (Obviously disregarding the situations where you are already ahead on the turn).
ps If anyone thinks this is just another bad beat story, I"ve already put an extra couple of quid in the poppy pot - 6c obv

AQJ2ds on KT43 with two flush draws gives you 32 outs to improve but one FD isn"t nut...

Improve, yes, but I only make that 28 cards to guarantee at least a share of the nut low or high.

No hand that can beat 29 comes to mind. UL Sir.
