I stayed in a hotel down the road from there and it was £30 per night...nothing to write home about but nice and cheap.

Specifics please.

There are quite a few B&B type places along London Road which is sort of the main thoroughfare....you can find some on various booking sites.

I will be searching more extensively over the coming days.

It was down Romford Road and has a McDonald"s across the road and i ate there around 3 a.m. both nights I stayed..just looked it up on google maps...it"s called the Newham Hotel.  It may be more a night now...it doesn"t say on the site..you have to contact them on their site..no online booking it looks like.

The Friday has:

1200 - 6max
1800 - Shootout
2000 - Razz

Would it be possible to have the Shootout at 12? 90% of the field will be gone by 6pm so you can increase your participation in the others, whilst minimising the issues with players buying seats and then pulling out as they"re still in the 6max (depending on whatever rules imposed re: pre-regging).

Gotta remember Paulie, it"s also extra days in the festival.
That"s a few extra nights in hotel and other expenses of being away (food etc) plus extra events to pay for, and extra holidays to use at work.

Not knocking the WCOAP, I"m just not sure I"ll make the whole thing due to the factors.

When we went to the Olympic Stadium in July this year, we stopped at Connaught House Hotel. It"s only two or three stops away from Stratford International on the DLR. I can"t remember the price but it was in the £50 to £70 range for a double. Really nice hotel and nice rooms.
