I don"t know why everything has to be so secretive right up to the last minute, doesn"t give us much chance to organise funds etc

To be fair there"s still a couple of days left.

But it seems the announcement and action will both be on Monday

Players will be able to reserve or purchase seats from 9pm on Monday January 13th via www.apat.com.

I may need to move some money around...could someone please clarify what this means?

Are we talking "click-fest"? I"m assuming that we will not be using the online poker software?

Hi Paulie - we"re still dotting a few i"s on this but it"s likely there will be seat reservation and online buy in from day one.  I"d hold off moving money anywhere until those details are confirmed on 13th though.

Hi all,
I am hoping it will be easy to reserve or buy in on monday. We are three guys from germany which have already booked hotel and flights (it was necessary because the flights are getting so much more expensive every single day)
So now i am looking forward to monday and praying that i can get places in the games i woul like to play. I am so excited looking forward to the festival.

Ps: is there more space in the games than anounced ( i know we were 108players in the plo last year at DTD, now there are only 80 players able to play)?

Interest is building and I"m getting PM"d a few questions which I"m struggling to answer at this late date.

With buy-in & reservations due to go live on Monday, perhaps I"m overthinking but with some of the capped seat numbers I can see rush buying of side event seats.

Are we talking a reservation fee that will cover the WCOAP festival and players then put their names down for multiple events?

I can see the possibility of "over-reserving" if that were to be the case...players could pay a single fee and then "reserve" a seat in a lot of events (on the off chance) without penalty, thus "freezing out" seats that might otherwise be available to players with the full buy-in right now.

Will reservations be on a "first-come, first served" basis AFTER those who buy-in direct?

Will reservations open AFTER the full buy-in option is available...if so what kind of time lag do you envisage....a week or two would seem about right?

Am I worrying about nothing?...I sure hope so!

We"re not deliberately being secretive Matt, I promise you.

The 13th will be the announcement on the forum, but we won"t send an email to the base on that day so there will be some time to get organised before any event sells out I"m sure.

I"m sure you"re worrying for nothing Paulie.  We don"t plan to send an email to the base announcing the on sale on Monday evening, so there will be some time to act.

On Monday evening you can expect to see a revised list of events as we"re looking to add an "Antes Only" Championship into the schedule.

In addition we"ll have seat reservation.  To stop people speed reserving everything in sight, there will be a charge on all events.  £5 for the main event and £2 for each side event.  This money will go towards the Live updating fund.  Adam will be present every day to live update and APAT will make up any shortfall in his fee.  If it looks like there will be more in the fund, we"ll add an additional updater.  Tom, Matt and I will be there across the week also.

At the moment it"s not 100% certain we"ll be able to confirm our online plans on Monday eve, but on the positive side we may be able to add an Eventbrite main event direct buy in for £110 plus whatever the Eventbrite fee is.  APAT will not deduct anything from that if we are able to add it.

Hi Stefan - I think we"re hopeful of adding additional seats to a wide number of events if the demand is there.  But we need to do this in a managed way to ensure the casino can get the resource.
