Would like to say a massive thank you to the staff at Stoke, in particular Katie who did a fantastic job running the cardroom under some pretty crazy pressure, and a huge number of players (much more than they"d ordinarily cater for).
I"d also like to thank Paulie D. and Maggie Holt for their updates. And for Dave Battersby for providing some pretty invaluable IT support! And to Leigh Wiltshire for an extremely useful set of spreadsheets required to run the events - the maths that goes into providing running min/max scores means this was no mean feat!
Until next time, goodnight and godbless.
Stay classy Stoke.

Great event and thanks to all those at APAT for working so hard on this and of course Katy and her staff at Genting Stoke. 1st visit there for me and I liked the venue a lot.
Looking forward to next year already, when maybe the "Midlands Poker Forum" can get into the medals.

WP to all the winners and thanks very much to all those organising and updating over the weekend.
kizkiz:
A massive well done to everyone involved in yet another superb weekend.
I have to say that table 23 was the place to be, with Duffy and the world"s most useless waitress.
Over 3 hours it took to get my burger delivered to the table and it turned out to be crispy tempura prawns instead. The waitress then spent five minutes arguing with me about it! At least that was better than her response to my query about when the kitchen opened, which was a shrug if the shoulders and walk away. Lol
She turned up at one point with a pint, but nobody claimed it, so she looked around surreptitiously and put it down on a table, then just walked off hoping nobody had seen.
The look on duffys face when she asked for a beer and the waitress just said no and tried to walk away. Lol
Oh, and I can"t seem to find any pics?
I also wouldn"t recommend asking for a lager top....
Anyway, it was great fun and I"ll be back next year. ;D
