LIVE UPDATE WCOAP #3 High Roller Open Event Structure, Entrants and Photos

<< < (2/14) > >>

IrishTom:
Capacity exceeded (and venue could cope with extra) with now 54 players.

MarkTheShark:
61 entries into the High Roller Event #3 here at the APAT Championships at Aspers mean a £12,200 prize-pool with the first break approaching.

Truth be told, the players are feeling each other out, with newest arrival Dan Edler among the last to sit down. With blinds just 100/200 and a 30k starting stack, with 30-minute blinds, everyone knows that there is plenty of play.

MarkTheShark:
Clash between Samuel Lathem and Edijs Cergars - Samuel had shoved from UTG +1 and was snapped off by Edijs, who was next to act.....Samuel showing 55 but in a world of trouble against Edijs" KK.

Usually the poker gods dictate that a 5 arrives on the river, or the flop comes down 643, but this time Edijs brow was kept clear of sweat as a King immediately appeared on the board.....and overkill status was achieved when Quad Kings was hit on the river.

Nice hand Sir!

MarkTheShark:
A delayed bet can win you much more value in poker, and Paul Collier just proved that fact after betting 3300 into an 8,000 pot on a full board of 5h Ad 5d Jd 6s. Having checked back the turn, he"d bought himself some weakness as an image and so it looked to his opponent, who coughed up.

Collier showed Kd 8d for the turned flush and raked back a nice pot.
