APAT Irish Amateur Poker Championship LIVE UPDATE - FINAL DAY

<< < (14/26) > >>

KarmaDope:

KarmaDope:
Scott Gray has doubled through Anton Nestresko with K-K-5-2 against Anton"s T-T-J-7 all in preflop despite sweating the 9-2-8 flop. A four on the turn and another four on the river were enough to send the pot the way of the 2002 WSOP final tablist and put him up to 50k.

Still 24 left but, more importantly, the bar is open.

KarmaDope:
Michael Mason is out in 24th.

Asa McGrath raised UTG to 8k, only to see Willo Connolly, Anton Nestresko and Mason call. The flop was 6h Qd 2h and Mason, first to act, open shoved his remaining 23k. McGrath then isolated with a pot sized raise and the other 2 players folded their hands.

McGrath - Qh Qc 10d 10c
Mason - Ks Qs 6s 5h

Mason was drawing dead to running Kings or sixes as Asa had flopped top set with the one remaining queen, and was out the door as the 9s turn hit. The river was the meaningless 9h, sending the pot Asa"s way and meaning we are one player closer to the money.

Asa McGrath - 200k.

KarmaDope:
Willo Connolly has patiently grinded her short stack since the start of the day, and got it all in preflop for a 25k pot with T-Q-T-5 against Gabor Gelleri"s J-8-8-5. The flop of A-T-2 was overkill and the 5 turn saw Gabor drawing dead.

Willo Connolly - 25k

KarmaDope:
Pat Flood is out in 23rd.

Noel Mitchell had raised UTG to 10k and got 2 callers in Flood and Mark Lassman. The flop came 9h Ad 6h and Mitchell led for 15k. Lassman called only to see Flood shove all in for 40k. Mitchell pretty quickly repotted and Lassman eventually folded with a grimace on his face.

Mitchell had Kh Qh Kc 9d and Flood was ahead with Qd Jd 9s 6c but the Jc on the turn was a bad card despite improving Flood"s hand. The 10h on the river was the deal breaker, giving Mitchell Broadway and sending Flood to the rail.

Noel Mitchell - 300k.
