APAT European Amateur Team Championship
fethepo:
On behalf of all the members of the French Team I would like to say we are very happy and very proud to take part to this APAT Event.
We are looking forward to meeting the other teams and competing for the title.
Here"s a quick background for each player:
Franck Viollet - "vazysarko" - has played in a couple of APAT events before. He is a SNG and HU specialist, so say sharkscope ;)
Cedric Billot is the Secretary of the French Poker Player Federation (ffjp).
Jeremy Henriet is also part of the French Federation and has played in different live events in France and abroad as well.
And finally I have played in Cardiff and Edinburgh last season as well as Vienna last spring plus online APAT events and was runner-up of the WCOAP Main Event 2007.
Good luck to everybody and see you soon in Brighton!!

As regards to the selection of players and captains, this process to me couldnt be more simple.
The 5 top ranked players in The APAT from season 2 should represent their respective country with the highest ranked player being selected as captain. This would remove any of the players being picked through favouritism or a "who you know" situation.
In saying that i would hope the Team captains have the intelligence and common sence to pick the most consistant and skillful players in their fields, i.e heads up play and multi table play, so they can win the tittle and the honours for their team and country.
The structure has been set up to a really high standard and has been equally as good all year round, to have this team even as the finale of a great season is fantastic. I just hope it is played and won to a standard that all of the APAT members and players expect.
Good luck to all teams and players.

Is there a player briefing for this? Also, is the prize money just to be split between the top 3 teams or are there individual prizes as well.
Havent seen anything posted so not sure, if there is can you please direct me to the posts :)

Hi Mary, details have just been posted. The money will be split amongst the top three countries, very roughly 50%, 30%, 20%.
